I like backs and tight ends downfield against linebackers.

i honestly expect to see some more DB blitz's than usual. will have to generate that pressure from unexpected areas.
Maybe like tre'vez johnson.

but the front line of our D should be a good match up against yalls O-line.

As for our run game... if we run up the middle, we are toast. we have our best luck bouncing outside.

Also one more thing to watch, and im not trolling. We ran the wheel route 80 times last year and it worked. Understand that Kirby probably worked on defending it in the last 365 days, but we will see if its enough. just like us running the option play againt bama 45 times. If its working dont fix it.

Your DL is definitely one of the better ones in the league. If JTD is starting he does a great job of sensing the blitz and hitting the hot route.

I would imagine we have shored up the wheel route. Clemson tried it a couple of times with no success. But Mullen is good at finding a weakness and exploiting it.

I believe UGA will try and exploit this matchup too.

Peter, Have you noticed that I haven't been on your butt this week, a kinder, gentler me. Have a great weekend and enjoy the game.
Go Gators.

Doesn't change the fact that the Gators are going to upset the leg humpers on Saturday and you and the other mutt fans will be crying in your beers on saturday night.

And get off the Gator board.

Which matchups do you like?

I think we have easily the best offensive line you guys will play this season. Will you guys have success rushing the passer and stopping the run - yes, I believe UGA has the best front 7 in the country. That being said, your overall defense is use to getting pressure almost every single play and that has hidden some deficiencies in the secondary. We’ve only allowed 5 sacks all year and I don’t see you guys doing what you did against Clemson and everyone else against us. I think we get sacked and and you guys slow down the run game but it’s not going to be the constant rush y’all have gotten all year. And that’s going to open up some match ups against your secondary.

I also like our pass rush against Stetson Bennet and our secondary vs y’all’s receivers. Not to mention everyone is counting us as dead in the water.

Sorry hoss, that would be UK.

I've seen the run grades that you guys get for the OL and TE and it's not a pretty picture (although, PFF can not always be trusted). If we can force the 3rd and 7's then we'll have an easier job of rushing the passer than if we're facing the 3rd and 5 or less. The passing opportunities will be there though.

Do we trust AR15 or Jones to make them?

This one puzzles me though. We have given up fewer sacks, just one fewer but still, and we have a better front 7 but you like this matchup? Clemson has the best pass rush we'll likely see this year and they couldn't get it done. Also, it looks like JTD is back and both will play.

Those are definitely dangerous teams. Hopefully, UGA approaches this game professionally and comes ready to play because I'm sure UF will, at least to start the game.

From my other thread:

Georgia's defensive stats are propped up by playing limited offenses that collectively average out to be a pitiful #80 offense in the country.

Georgia has the fewest tackles in the SEC due to facing these very limited offenses who can't stay on the field. Florida has better time of possession than Georgia does.

When Georgia enters the red zone they have scored FGs 32% of the time when they do score. Florida only has 13% FGs when they score in the red zone.

Florida has a top ten #9 total offense in the country while Georgia is only a pedestrian #42.

Florida has the #4 Rushing offense averaging over 6 yards a carry while Georgia has only the #39 rushing offense averaging a mediocre less than 5 yards a carry.

Florida's QB has more yards rushing than Georgia's leading RB who has less than 5 yards a carry just like the Georgia team as a whole.

Mullen’s back is against the wall and I expect AR15 to play the majority of the game - if we do the QB rotation of Jones starting and swapping with AR we are dead in the water and I have UGA by multiple scores. Think AR plays the majority and that’s why I think we have a shot.

Fortunately, the game isn’t played in a vacuum. You can only compare and contrast to a certain point until the clocks starts. All the analysis in the world wouldn’t have told you LSU was going to shite stomp UGA in 2018. I wouldn’t have guessed Auburn would have ran all over UGA in 2017 and I didn’t see their run game coming to a screeching halt in the SEC championship rematch. Didn’t see Oklahoma being able to run the ball against y’all either but they did. Same can be said about us in games we didn’t expect either. You guys have a great team this year but it’s an intense rivalry. I see us coming out and giving y’all a great game honestly.

So you think that AR15 can hit the downfield passes? Has he shown this yet? I just think of him being a running threat.

And this is not meant to be snarky, but you like the matchup of your DL vs our OL because weird shite happens? I thought their would be something that I don't know or missed (which is likely) that made you think it was a good matchup.

If he starts and plays the entire game I honestly like our chances. We beat LSU by multiple scores if he started and this is a top 15 WLOCP matchup. I like our chances bc I don’t believe you guys are going to get the same rush against us you have against everyone else you’ve played. Our offensive line in pass pro is better than anyone else you’ve played. Should open some holes in your secondary. The fact everyone has written us off makes me think this is going to be a hell of a Game.

From my eyes? Deep passes on the outside have stung us. Some people who know more than me say you can have success hitting the slant.

Most likely, but that defense isn't comparable and he still threw what, 3 ints?

That's probably true. I think you're going to have to throw on early downs to be successful though. If you're staring down a bunch of 3rd and longs it will allow us to tee off on the Gators.

That is a definitely possibility. I certainly haven't and I don't think most UGA fans have as we still suffer from PTSD from the Richt days. It's a rivalry game and stranger things have happened before.

I'm sure most of you already know about this site but he does a good job of breaking down UGA's offense and defense.
