Yes, they looked bad (REALLY bad) vs. LSU.

They are still way more talented than UF is at quite a few positions.

UF is going to have their hands full and Franks NEEDS to play his best game of the year for UF to be successful.

UGA will not play as bad vs. UF as they did against LSU.

That being said... I hope they start Fromm and not Fields. Fromm has regressed in a MAJOR way.

We need to make sure there is no doubt. If this is a 1 score game in the second half, the Zebras will be working overtime to position UGA for a possible second conference berth in the playoff.

I don't think Fromm is that much worse than last year. LSU blanketed his receivers and got pressure. If they get Mecole lined up on McWilliams and pick up the blitz, Fromm will find him for six 10/10 times.

If McWilliams is lined up on Hardman, UGA is gonna score 40+ points.

Of course. We have to play a great game.

My hope is more on coaching winning for us. I truly believe Grantham can out smart Cheney and Mullen can out smart Kirby. Simple as that. If coaching was even to me we lose. I like our staff better on gameday. As for Fields. Not worried. He will be a force soon enough no doubt. But our defense is aggressive. It will fluster him. Add in we hide coverages very well, and Cheney proved he can't call when defenses do that vs LSU. So Fields will be lost as well.

No intelligent Gator fan should overlook UG. They are probably more talented than us in most positions. They started the season ranked #2 and were almost a unanimous pick to make the playoffs but...............we have some talent too and I believe, better coaches. We will have to play our best game of the year to win. We have to eliminate mistakes, turnovers and Franks will have to make good decisions.
Only a few of us really thought that we would ever have a chance to win this game and now it is in our grasp. We just need to take it to the leg humpers and the East is ours. I said this team would win 10+ games and beat the mutts and I still believe it will happen. Go Gators!

I don't know the reason but he has been way off on the intermediate/deep passes compared to last year over the last few weeks. There were 3 or 4 in particular against Tennessee that were really bad passes that should have gone for big gains, and 2 in particular against LSU taht were just dreadful (1st quarter overthrow to mecole that would have been a TD, 3rd quarter underthrow to DRob that could have been a TD).

I like Fromm and he doesn't suck or anythign but he sure looks to me like he's not the same passer as last year.

It’s under much more scrutiny this year because he doesn’t have the security blanket of 2 of the 3 best running backs in school history. He made a couple of bad throws against Florida last year (Duke Dawson nearly had a pick 6 early in the 3rd quarter if I recall correctly)

Georgia could obviously beat Florida. They’re talented and well coached. But they are going to have to line up and compete to beat us this year, and that’s more than what a lot of people thought that Florida would do against Georgia this season. It’s gonna be a battle and I personally can’t wait.

Losing to us woke up LSU...Losing to LSU will wake up UGA

We need to play our best game in two weeks.

Pre-Season I had this game as our most difficult, and I still believe that to be true.

I guess I was one of those who thought we would beat UGA back in the spring? Everyone was talking about UGA as some unbeatable force....well, that's wrong.

If you look at all our games (except UT) we have allowed some big plays or drives down the field....but we always make changes and stop the carnage. Our coaches are excellent at making decisions on the fly. So don't panic if the dawgs make a big play.

As far as cornerbacks...Im confident in CJ Henderson and Trey Dean and we are seeing improvement in our safety play. Remember that Stewart and Taylor had limited snaps last year and are still learning. Our front seven is making life easier for the secondary...losing Wilson hurt, but our DBs only have to cover for a short time due to pressure. Vandy has an excellent OL and they do get away with holding of course. UGA will see a pass rush that will rattle their QBs and keep them uncomfortable.

One thing I noticed watching replays of Vandy game is that Slaton and Conliffe were either not playing or maybe only had a few snaps? Clark, Campbell, Dunlap and our WV transfer DT played almost all snaps?

Both teams have really good kickers, but we have an advantage in punters...and flipping fields is huge. We want UGA starting deep and having a lot of green in front of them.

We just have to play our game...they will be ready to play cause their backs are to the wall...but so was Miss State after losing to UK and at least we have a week off for them to help forget their L.

I thought we would have a good chance to beat them based on what I saw from last year, but you say we're going to beat everyone.

I think Vanderbilt is your typical trap game, too. @Vandy in a noon game after a huge win over a top-5 team, so I don't think it's fair to take that game like that.

Similarly, I don't think it's very smart to take the Georgia game vs. LSU where they were the away team in a hostile environment and they had poor QB play to boot.

I expect a close game, but I also know that we're both going to be throwing everything we have at each other. I think Florida needed this rest more than people realize -- to heal and sort of get back in the roll of things.

In the end, I trust Mullen with two weeks of preparation over Kirby. I think we will be able to move the ball, and I think ultimately we will win because of turnovers/special teams.

What, not because Franks is better than Fromm?
