Maybe we can get Derek Mason when he gets fired at Vandy.

So... Trask was 30/42 for 416yds with 5 drops?

Not bad at all. 35/42 plus the yards and the guy would be the messiah.

Yep, I've been counting them -- and I count a drop as a play where the receiver had both hands on the ball but couldn't bring it in. Especially when they didn't have to stretch to get it. There were a few plays where it literally hit them square in the hands and they didn't come down with it.

Trask does look a lot more relaxed, though. Almost too relaxed sometimes.

Hes relaxed, but he has very good pocket presence.

Almost night and day compared to his game against Auburn last year.

I think there was just 1 play where he missed the pressure coming around from his blind side yesterday, and he fumbled it. Gotta clean that up, but a very encouraging game from him.

As bad as the defense played yesterday. They definitely can not get any worse once Moon and Stewart are back i think it will get better we knew it was going to be rough first week a hurry up lane kiffin offense Corral is a much better athlete then I gave him credit for ole miss has a good offense or at least we made them look that way. Our O-Line still is the most unimproved unit on the field the run blocking is still not good hopefully they can improve when White comes back.

But out of all the players we have in the secondary including freshman if none of the younger guys can beat out McWilliams we are going to give up a ton of pass yards that guy probably wouldn't be starting for FLORIDA A&M so ill take the win hopefully the defense will get better hey LSWHO gave up 38 to vandy last year and that turned out pretty good for them so let's see how they look this week against the Muscocks and go from there.

Defense was poor but I’ll wait to see how OM does going forward before I totally throw em under the bus.

A lot of people don't understand that Ole Miss is probably going to make a lot of defenses look flat out stupid. The only difference is that they'll actually have tape to work with.

We went in completely blind with five starters missing on defense.

Ole Miss is probably one of the two best offenses our schedule.

It's why I'm very okay with it.

As are national pundits and Vegas. They see what we saw. That Florida is ultra talented on offense and defense had week 1 struggles.

With A&M as bad as they looked Ole Miss may literally be the best, most balanced offense we see all year.

The rest of the East looked okay at best. All we have to do is score and create turnovers and we'll be absolutely fine.

Trask will have a bad game (maybe not, he looked sharp as hell) but we can actually run this year.

That too lol

We got the W, and our Offense looks deadly. We just need the D to get a stop or turnover here n there as they jell with more time

We beating Georgia’s arse this year, boys. Prepare yourselves for ATL

Body is ready, hoping COVID doesn't ruin us.

That being said: Our defense just needs to be chaotic and behind the TE/WR corps we can hang with anyone. Even if we just get a turnover or two a game and protect the ball we will win against most teams.

The actual most dangerous teams (Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State) aren't on our schedule, and they're dangerous because they're the ones who might be able to keep up with us on offense.

I'm pretty stoked going forward, and can't wait to get out of the vanilla phase of our game. It was almost like a scrimmage against their defense.

Trask was terrific, I will admit I still hold my breath when i see a defender getting close to him from his blindside

I get scared every passing play, I feel uncomfortable -- even though I know I shouldn't be.

Ten years of horrendous QB play and every dropback feels like disaster waiting to happen. It seems like just yesterday Pouncey was snapping the ball along the ground every other down.

Honestly, the one thing I will say: Teams started to just flat out hold Pitts last year every down and so we're really at the mercy of the SEC.

The good news is that normally it looks like the SEC protects its own regarding the best teams (they always seem to get the breaks). Hopefully that is the case this year.

I think everyone is going to start looking like a Big XII team. I'm definitely not trying to prop up Grantham, but likewise, I think with the rules the way they are, it just favors a landscape where we're going to see more video game offenses and defenses more about breaking serve than completely shutting down those top teams.
