The safeties are really really bad right now though. I mean the back ups are really THAT much worse than the starters?

The tackling in the secondary is bad too.

It's the first game, but dang, UF looks weak on the back end.

For sure, and I think we'll see a lot of this because of COVID. Remember, we didn't have an entire spring season this year. As they play more, they'll likely start hitting harder. You can see a lot of them pulling up on hits (which is likely how they were practicing).

I hope at least.

Keep in mind, too, that we're missing Moon and his backup at LB.

A lot of young players out there on the defense.

I'm so happy we've had consistently good kickers for a while now. It's so nice to see us come out at 55-yards and not worry as much as I used to out 33 yards.

That kick was sick.

Dameon’s vision has improved tremendously.

RBs all look better.

Wright has been getting a ton of praise in the off-season, and I can see why. Good legs, good vision, strong runner.

We have a lot to polish, but like I said: considering the limited practices, I like the direction we're going in right now. We can only keep getting better week to week. Hopefully being back in full-contact football will get our guys back to themselves.

I’ve always like Nayquan ever since we were recruiting him but nobody seems to be a believer in him.

5 drops.

Just to reiterate: PFF said that Trask was one of the worst decision-makers last season based on "interceptable balls", so now I'm keeping track of "touchdownable balls".

This is for my own statistics.

I’m getting 2007 defense vibes.

I get that we're down some players and we had the pandemic off-season, but Grantham has gotta be super disappointed in himself. Although, this has been a very vanilla game, our defenders just look bored and disinterested.

The defensive secondary looks really really bad. The pass rush is also meh.

Not a big fan of the under center snaps. Need to stay in shotgun.

Mullen concerns me sometimes because he's the opposite of "use it until they can prove they can stop it", he's more of a: "We're doing great with x part of the game, what can I do to frick it up?"

And that roughing the passer was tickytack but he got tackled like 3 seconds after he threw the ball.

I think it’s more of a “what kind of crazy arse shite can I put on film for next weeks opposing coaching staff”.
