Where is our camo bushes guy?! Haha.

So perhaps Lincoln Riley instead?
Posted on 11/17/25 at 8:13 pm to Ramblin American
The one guy who said Riley wasn't vetted before is claiming he has been recently and is a possible backup choice now. I do remember hearing we wanted no part of Riley just like Kiffin back when Napier was hired though.

Yeah, that’s pretty much spot on. Sexton is a piece of shite.
Only thing, he wasn’t in the Friday meeting.
And to be quite blunt, it’s going to be fricking awful when his ego doesn’t let him walk away from a playoff shot and then he’s stuck here after all the shite he’s just pulled. Only thing that could be more on brand is him staying and OM losing the Egg Bowl and missing the playoff.

I’m pretty sure he’s leaving.

He has to make a decision by this weekend? Will they allow him to coach the Miss State game after this circus if he is leaving?
Posted on 11/17/25 at 9:07 pm to Gator Fever
He signs or he doesn’t coach again, nobody seems to have a firm date though. I’ve heard this Friday, Sunday, and all the way until Thursday afternoon. OM boosters and KC are sick of this shite and done playing games with Sexton. There are contingencies in place already.
Something to keep in mind, the stuff with Auburn played out very similarly to this with Jimmy squeezing OM for everything. Part of the deal going forward was Jimmy wasn’t handling this stuff anymore. Clearly, he’s back after a 2 year hiatus.

Uh I don’t know because he literally wasn’t supposed to be. Lane had someone else (someone I know) at CAA handling any and all matters until mid September this year. Even Lane was mad at him about Auburn. He was leaking stuff and making deals without consulting Lane. I’m sure he won’t ever do that to the school Lane is at going forward though….
I’m just glad the OM side is finally telling Jimmy to kick rocks regardless of how this ends up.

I don’t think you understand how heated that whole thing got the first time. His arse wasn’t allowed in the athletic department. At all.

My point is CAA doesn’t give a frick about that at all if they think they can make more money from a situation

https://nypost.com/2016/08/07/famed-agent-mike-ovitz-ruled-hollywood-like-a-mafia-don/ here is an article about one of the founders of CAA. It shows what type of company they are and their culture.
I’m sure the athletic department was really angry with Sexton and didn’t want anything to do with him but the fact is that when you’re dealing with CAA they will lie and leverage any advantage. They have to get their way when they want it.
Edit: I know ovitz is no longer with the company because he got forced out by some other snakes, but the picture of what the company culture is like is illustrated by him

I’m just saying, Lane is setting fire to every ounce of good PR he’s generated these last few years with this whole thing regardless of how it ends up. It’s sad. Right now it seems like he lied to the admin and people that have given him everything he’s asked for every single time he’s asked.

quote:idk what he said directly to OM or anyone in the dept there. I think it’s fair to consider offers when you suddenly become the hottest name in the game. Again i don’t know what he’s said or promised but it’s a hard spot to be in. I think he genuinely likes Oxford but it’s hard to resist temptation when it’s beating on your door from all directions 24/7

But regarding PR it probably would have been better without the espn special being released earlier this season that is for sure

If you really graduated from UF, you are tied with Corrine Brown for the dumbest alumni.

These past few days have been disrespectful as hell to Ole Miss on Lane's part. If I was them he damn sure wouldn't be allowed to coach the Miss St game if he is leaving.
