I actually wouldn't mind that much if KY beat us today. Dont want to possibly go into the NCAA tournament on a 14 game winning streak. I think we would still get the # 2 seed in the South if we won a couple of SEC tournament games after the loss.

I could take a loss to someone...but not Kentucky...being born in Kentucky and my dad one of 9 and my mom 1 of 8, all married now, all have kids(our family reunions are easily 100+ on both sides...if we lose to UK..I get a ton of text..my phone blows up basically.

Yep we really need to beat KY now as UConn losing today and failing to win their conference regular season will drop them from that # 1 seed. A KY win and maybe just one win in the SECT may lock up a # 1 seed in the South for us.

Looks like we will play either Mizzu or KY in our first SECT game. Dont see LSU winning 2 SECT games.

Well..who do you prefer?

I'm not sure it matters - think the team will be locked in. Although would be nice to avenge the Missouri loss.

Kentucky. Third game in 3 days, and not much of a bench. No legs in the 2nd half.

Are we a lock now for the # 1 seed in the South or can Houston get it if they beat Kansas and AZ and we lose our next game? Also its BS Houston is going to get to play at home basically whether the # 1 or # 2 seed probably because they consider Rice (lol) the home team there.

Well that was a straight up arse kicking. The same formula Auburn used to beat us is our Achilles heal. Without two legitimate 3 point threats, just clog up the paint and we wilt like day old lettuce. I don’t know how this gets improved this late in the season, but with some luck we get hot when it counts.

Yep we need to figure something out. Good thing we got this big reminder I guess.

So the committee thought it was funny slotting it where we might play Vandy again in the Sweet 16 while giving Houston things gift wrapped until the Elite Eight game which is a home game for them...

If Vandy was a 4 seed or better (as everyone predicted) by rule they would have to be in a different region. But of course they moved them down to a 5... and the East gets 0 SEC teams somehow.
Still though - we have a very winnable region. We should expect to at least get to the E8 against these teams.

Not worried about vandy, team should be motivated. We got perhaps the easiest region.

If Houston wasn't getting home games in the Sweet 16/Elite Eight if they make it I would agree.

We got perhaps the easiest region.

You never know but I doubt there is much chance we could lose the round of 32 game. Vandy is the only one I think that has more than a pretty small chance to upset us in the Sweet 16. Houston having a home game basically or Illinois wont be easy in the Elite Eight I think if we make it there.

I see Mike White came to the tourney with his magic again...
