One thing we haven’t discussed that much is Stricklin. Who’s his replacement?

I think Utban wants to be back in the game, but without the headache. He wouldn’t be doing the podcast/Netflix circuit if he didn’t. He knows what it takes to win here. He’d get my vote.

Then there’s the OSU staffer… I think it’s Mark Pantoni that people are saying they want.

I don’t see Urban coming back to coach.

I’m saying he’d come back to be the AD. I notice now I didn’t specially say that.

Urban as AD would be awesome.

I know he'd be learning on the job, but Stricklin had experience with it and absolutely sucks with hiring coaches for the main revenue sport (Golden is still tbd in my eyes).

He may be good at fundraising and a bunch of other backstage aspects of being an AD but has been exceptionally poor with his football hires.

On that last injury I fully expected Mertz to miss a play or 2 and come back out because he kept fighting and putting his body on the line all year

“I will not be the next coach at Alabama”

Could be true, could be smoke so no distraction before their game vs Oregon

Coaching decisions are kept very low key. I doubt anyone knows for sure what's going on, definitely don't know who the coaches are ahead of time coming in.

rumors swirling around...

the nutritionist lady got fired because the UAA wanted her gone (Billy didn't)

Billy wants Hocke gone, but the UAA blocked it because they didn't want to pay a buyout.

coaching hires are slow because they don't want to pay their current buyouts from their current employer.

eta: rumor has it we're looking at hiring Bama's S&C guy while demoting Hocke.

That’s kinda Funny considering our best Coaches ever came from powerhouses like Utah and Duke

Not every coach starts their career at Bama

He’s also got NFL exp coaching some pretty good players.

Spencer had a good resume, he didn’t do shite.
Just sayin, stop acting like good coaches don’t come from small schools and every big name is a guarantee to work out
——
That's a really good team that played really hard and obviously gave us a lot of challenges today, just like they've given a lot of people,” Kiffin said about Tulane. “They're very tough up front and their front seven on defense gave us a lot of problems.”
