You guys seriously just need something to bitch and moan about for months on end every single year and no matter what Mullen produces we seem to be here, still bitching and moaning. It's one position, few teams actually recruit so well that they don't have a single position with problems and even if they do -- two of our best receivers were transfers.

Said by one Straws several weeks ago.

Mullen just keeps proving you wrong, you guys just continue to hand wring all off season.

To be fair this class is far better than any previous class. Especially when you include transfers.

Idgaf how we get talented players. You gotta adjust to the changing landscape of CFB. Mullen is getting talent on the trail and now via the portal.

Yeah, a lot of people ask if it's sustainable but I just don't care.

We will have added 3 5-stars if we also get the Penn State transfer at QBs.

Huge talent injection, including all of the four stars we've picked up in this class.

IDK why people hate the transfer portal.

It's been nothing but good to Florida.

Now that things are clicking let's break down how good it may end up being. I was disappointed for sure but we can end up with an insane class(though the rant won't admit it)

If we land Shorter(hearing good things)
3 five star transfers at RB, WR, and LB

If crystal balls hold true for Williams and Henderson

We end up with a recruiting class with 4 top 100 players, 3 five stars(four if Dexter gets his fifth as he should), loading up the offensive and defensive lines. Also landed the QB we wanted for the future that is the prototype for Mullen's offense, loaded up the secondary, got four really highly touted play makers

I think we'll start to clean up in recruiting. Given how Boom and Mac recruited and missed, it put us in a weird situation where we need find players every way possible.

I think we'll back off the transfers once complete classes fall into place.

As always, Go Gators!

4* OC Sedrick Van Pran (UGA commit) has shown heavy interest in the Gators lately, and is expected to officially visit in January. Big recruitment to watch down the stretch

Stealing another lineman from Georgia would be beautiful.

Justin Shorter, Class of 2018

That would make him a Redshirt Sophomore or a Junior (three years of eligibility).

That brings up a good question. Did the start the RS rule this year where you can play 4 games or was it the 2018 season? And did they make it retroactive?

I highly doubt they'll go back and retroactively give him a redshirt and that he may have to sit for a year. However, the problem isn't at receiver (theoretically) next year, it's in the 2021 season for us since Trevon came back.
