Trey Dean is "injured".
If he's actually hurt I hope he gets well, but once he does I hope he plans on staying on the bench as if he were still hurt

Glad to see that the staff isn't afraid to make changes or play younger guys when older players underperform. Based on the past 4 years, I didn't know that it was even legal to do that.

I'm glad he's giving the young players some PT. It will pay off next year.

USF gave Cinci a scare this weekend.
Our performance against them is still unacceptable, but it seems that they're capable of showing up and giving teams a challenge every now and then.

Saw this on another Gator forum:
quote:
One trend on offense I liked... Snap count for RBs vs Missouri
24 – Montrell Johnson
16 – Trevor Etienne
8 – Nay’Quan Wright
Montrell had 3x as many snaps as Wright and Trevor had 2x as many snaps..

Jaydon Hill named SEC Defensive Player of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gators redshirt sophomore Jaydon Hill was named the SEC player of the week for his performance against Missouri. In his second game back from ACL surgery, Hill came up with his first career interceptions against Missouri, including a pick-six in the opening quarter.
On third-and-6 from the Tigers’ 44, he stepped in front of Brady Cook’s pass and took it to the house for a 49-yard touchdown return to put the Gators up 10-0.
“It’s something that I’ll never forget about ever, for life,” he said. “It’s just a blessing. Words can’t even describe the feeling, honestly. Just grateful for being here, you know? Being able to play.”
The redshirt sophomore defensive back is the third Gator to earn conference player of the week honors this season (Richardson, Cox Jr. – Sept. 5).
Hill was set to be a starter in 2021 before he tore his ACL. The cornerback was able to come back in the spring, where he impressed.
“I always felt like watching him in spring ball that he was one of the best players we have,” Napier said on Saturday after the Missouri game. “That showed up today. His character … the guy stayed the course. He was a difference-maker today.”
Hill had three tackles to go along with his two intercptions and touchdown.
