All day this. Just wait until the LOIs and move on with your life because recruiting is being made deliberately ambiguous.

This isn't to be a sunshine pumper: but don't listen to any of this shite right now, man.

Gator media is pumping smoke right now to drum um excitement for recruiting, especially because sites like 247 LIVE AND BREATHE for this retarded drama and the recruits seem to love it.

I know that the staff was feeling great about a bunch of different people, and then suddenly we're told not to count on anyone the weeks leading up to NSD. I'm not saying you don't have a right to be upset, I'm just saying that this is the new trend. We're going to get this every year because it gives clicks and recruits who play along are starting to get preferential treatment.

That's why kids who shut their recruitment down and commit always seem to lose their place in the 247 ratings (which they adjust even after the kid has left High School, sometimes even college. Proof? Check this out about Dak Prescott: Source: 6/21/2017 - he was in the class of 2011. )

In the end, I hate to say something like this but: You just have to wait until people actually sign, trust the staff and enjoy the ride because we're going to be seeing more and more recruits like Steele and Copeland.

Sorry to rant, but I think we're in outstanding positions and Gator Content Providers are trying to throw us off the scent.

People with info that have their own sites are in the business of creating drama. Clicks drive business.

Add in attention seeking kids and you get the escalating drama every year.

Look at the Kodak Black rumor. UF is in trouble if the staff needs Kodak's manager to tell them if the staff is getting played.

The only guy I liked was Bob Redman when he was with scout. He hasn’t been the same since he merged with 247.

What ever happened to Brady Ackerman and Larry Vitell?

Brady got a coaching gig at somewhere. Larry is in NY doing radio.

247 benched Bob during the merger. They also let Higdon go when he has a source on the staff. 247 hates UF. Prove me wrong.

No argument from me. There is a thread about how much bad weight Ethan White has right now and guys want him to decommit.

They ignore that he is a 3 star 87 grade OT in high school that doesn’t have a full time nutrionist or a full time s&c conditioning. Or the fact that he will have 2-3 years of work with Savage and Hev before he sees the field.

Kid loves UF, UF fans are giving him and his family shite, and 247 mods do nothing.

He has his own website. If I was going to pay for a UF recruiting website, it would be his.

He is the mouthpiece the UF staff has picked to put out info.

He does have a bunch of bad weight. However, the kid is a mean nasty giant. Kid has size, length, and attitude. All things that can not be taught or fixed.

I would have no qualms about ditching White or about a half dozen other commits, BUT I've nver understood why people so blatantly choose to shite on our own players and recruits though. It sucks that the most visible representation of our fanbase is such a toxic cesspool.

I'm totally fine with it, though I don't think blasting it all over social media is a great look.

1. Many recruits would be blessed to still have a father in their life.

2. Parents should feel like part of the program, many of them are going to make a massive financial and time commitment to support our players.

3. I don't get super anal about the uniform being sacred to only players on the team. Just think that's silly.

I have no problem with this and wouldn't have a problem with it if he was with his kid at another school. I want recruits to feel like they're at home, and one of the biggest recruiting advantages out there are parents. Some players don't care, but many absolutely listen to their parents and take counsel from them.

I really don't understand the need to bully his dad for wanting to be part of his son's day/future.

I see nothing wrong with it either, some ppl on social media are just dks. If mom/dad/brother/sister wants to suit up, hell, go ahead.

You mean he isn't a recruit? Damn we need more OL

Im more than fine with it. I bet we will a lot of other schools start doing it..it promotes family atmosphere and the concept that their son will have fun at UF.

Theres a lot of pressure on these players...getting used to a totally new environment, getting signed up for classes (even with UF's staff helping them) and learning the campus. All the endless paperwork and forms.

Anything that relaxes them and eases stress is ok with me. Great idea.

Recruits almost never turn down meetings. Justin Fields met with Dan Mullen a few weeks before signing with Georgia.

You lose nothing hearing what coaches have to say, but these people who think Muschamp is going to turn a corner in year 7 of being a HC are delusional.

Trevor Lawrence threw for 400 yards against his defense, he's not good at anything.

I went to Jason Higdon's website First and Ten and it is like most...very vague about top recruits. All of them hint at surprises and big news...but its to sell clicks and that's how they all generate income.

Truth is...we are nearing limits on schollys and while we may get a few top recruits...I am not too excited.

The 10.00 a month membership doesn't bother me...I spend 100-120 a month on dogfood for my two Golden puppies. Its just entertainment.

Mullen hasn't been the HC that long and he will develop more relationships and on the field results will help us next year. We are fighting some SEC juggernauts and an instate rival who has South Beach and home base for a lotta kids. Color me not worried yet.
