I think so too TJ. I think he’s having some fun with fans, Copeland style. Fine by me, kids should enjoy this time before the real work begins.

I'll defend the Gators 'til I die, but I won't be responding to TJ for now on, especially in the recruiting thread (although we were on topic and talking about recruiting).

Grimes posted 2018 with some ''shh'' emojis indicating that it's likely he comes back.

Three top 100 wide receivers in one year, lazy Dan at it again. Could be four with Copeland. (Van Jefferson, Trevon Grimes, Watkins).

Oh, and Evan McPherson just got bumped to the #1 Kicker in the country per 247.

Really, there's only one person bitching. This has been an outstanding recruiting cycle for a transfer class for a team that went 4 - 7. The entire vision of the program has changed, and we seem to have a coach who honestly looks like he wants to be here.

We beat Michigan for Van Jefferson and Miami for Trevon Grimes, then we get Justin Watkins and Copeland looks more and more to be trending toward us? Four elite receivers in one year?

That's not even talking about how we just went in and stole a recruit from Maryland, we're probably going to rob another one from Miami AND Nesta isn't completely out of the picture.

But hey, guess we're wrong to be excited about our program.

But FSU has Taggart BRO!

You know...the guy who sent his whole staff to a RB's house, then he took them off the board the next day while it isn't a position of need(as said by Deion).

Our staff seems to at least understand their priorities...and haven't seen any of our in home visits lead to the commit saying "frick them" in less than a day LOL

Based on everything I’ve read he’s a 99% certainty to be a grade casualty. He was all UF and UM in early January but never got the green light to visit us and seems he probably was not going to make it to Miami next week either. This is Taggelwain taking him to make the class look better when they’re struggling. Even if he gets into FSU the NCAA might flag him.

His grades are bad enough he probably wouldn't make it in. He might not even make it into FSU. Florida and Miami are the ones that cancelled his visits, not the other way around. Why waste time with a guy who you wont academically be able to admit?

Impressive. They have good recruiters on the defensive side. I felt that was coming though. Don't know why so many UF fans thought it was happening. Sunseri and Robinson had no access till recently for the kid.

Congratulations on your coach’s hype pick up but he took this commitment knowing that he won’t get into school

Yep, he's pullin' the ol' ''look for good players who have problems''. He was a grades concern for Florida since the very beginning. Maybe FSU can break the top 20 now.

Do you think we get anymore verbal commits before NSD or do we just have to wait?

I could see Chatfield potentially committing. Would be a good thing, hopefully he could get in Nesta’s ear. We could use them both.

At this point committing isn't really a big deal, honestly. It's so close to NSD that it won't make much of a difference.

However I'm sure the coaches are pretty confidence on a lot of different guys.

I'm sure it's not a huge deal... I just see our rivals getting commits after OVs like FSU now landing Dennis Briggs and I want the same.

FSU got a commit from Peters who is likely an academic casualty, and a DT that nobody really wanted in Briggs.

Florida is battling it out with several top schools for the remainder of their board. This is going to NSD.

FSU likely said commit or GTFO with Briggs and Peters (academics).

Most of the kids UF are after have other options and will carry it out until NSD. You want to be battling it out with Bama, Clemson, and Ohio State at this point. That means the kid is good. Just have to win those battles and get announcements on NSD.
