Winning solves a lot of problems. Especially in recruiting.

You are going to be so disappointed. Richt is a head coach that does less with more.
You are right about winning and SoFla recruits.
A big factor is no one is at Ponzi Scheming MFer home games. It sinks in that they are going to play in front of a no energy crowd at an off campus stadium. They decommit in mass shortly thereafter.
As for Mac, he has not been able to beat Bama and FSU but two division titles in his first two years. No coach has done the latter in the SEC. Still he needs to prove that Nuss and him can develop a long term QB at UF.

Richt is a good coach that wins a shite load of games but has always been criticized for not being able to win the big one. He had a lot of success at Fsu as an oc. And his first 5 yrs at Uga were his best. Then he got super complacent and by the end of his time there it was like he didn't give a frick. However, he is extremely re-energized. And there is no question he will get Miami to a place we haven't been since pre 2005. I understand y'all are uf fans and hate Miami, but you have to admit this is by far the best coaching/recruiters we've had in over a decade. idk if richt will ever be able to win the big games, but it's not even up for debate Miami is in the best place it's been and has more buzz than at any point since Coker fricked us out of multiple championships. But we'll know soon enough if richt can win big games or not. Lsu next yr, y'all in 2019, and talks of Bama in 2020.
And again, our crowds had energy this past season. We don't sell out every game and never will but the idea that we only have 20k fans is a blatant lie, we definitely have over 40k per game, and for the bigger games we get in 55k range, and then obviously uf/fsu is 75k. Regardless, it doesn't have as big of a recruiting impact as you're making it out to be. At the end of the day if 40k ppl attend and you win, you will recruit better than a team that has 100k attendance that loses.
whether you think mcelwain is the right man for the job or not (I don't think so), one thing is clear - it's getting time for him to put up or shut up..

Oh you mean Helen your new coach? Its how affecxtionally he/she was know due to close resemblance to actress Helen Hunt...so before you call our coach horsetooth (jealousy has a way with rivals...but hell you aint a rival anymore)please take a long long look at Helen Hunt and then Richt...scarey aint it? Dont come on this GATOR board and diss our HC. Its kinda slimely like the ibis bunch is know for.

Lol, with certain facial expressions I can see the comparison....not that I really care.
Anyways I'm certainly not jealous of mcelwain.
personally I think this was a solid discussion.

Richt actually runs a solid program and recruits out of his mind (even if most Georgia fans won't admit it). That's a much better hire than, say, Muschamp at SC.
Richt is a proven HC, and I think he just needed to go with another program tbh.

Well, tbh, that's pretty much what we're all hoping. We're hoping a change of scenery will finally push him to win the big games. We'll see though. At the end of the day he'll get our program to the best place its been in over a decade, and at the very least, the games are fun to watch again, something I can't say about the past years...

Has anyone heard anything about Robinson, Lemmons and Slaton- on TOS there's talk that they still haven't qualified and its down to this next ACT/SAT session?
Posted on 5/7/17 at 2:07 pm to montanagator
Robinson and Lemons are in for sure (barring them staying out of trouble of course)
Haven't heard much about Slaton but I wasn't aware that there was any worry about his ability to qualify

I don't religiously follow young men's twitter but Iverson tweeted about some guys jumping on board soon. No I don't know how to post it on here and yes it was a few days ago and no I don't think there is a "silent commit".

Probably WR Shaquon Anderson-Butts
5* DL Micah Parson's teammate
Micah might be close with UFs #1 QB target Fields.

Have y'all heard any rumblings about Fields flipping to UF?
Posted on 5/11/17 at 10:51 am to atlgator
I'm definitely not in the know, but I feel like a guy like Fields doesn't make a flip until seeing how the offense progresses, or until more guys jump on board.

Yes
There have been some CBs to the good guys. Newberg as an example.
PSU board is probably flipping out after the Parsons decommit

I'm off campus for the summer so I'm not hearing as much as I was when I was on campus, but I don't know why a kid from Georgia would want to go all the way up to Penn State. Miserably cold, horrible place to live, but I do like James franklin and know they have a good fanbase and big stadium, so hell, what do I know.
I think if we put on a full court press, our staff can use the distance factor and our academics to our advantage and pull off this flip. Getting a guy as highly rated as Fields would be one of the biggest offensive recruits in years for us

TBH, I don't know why anyone anywhere would choose to go to PSU over other big name programs. If I'm Parsons, PSU would be so low on my list.

I understand going to the home state school.

Penn State has better support plus their own home stadium. I'm just thankful I'm not from Pennsylvania in the first place

Coach Mac said in Jacksonville that all signed recruits are on track to be eligible for Summer B. It could be coach speak of course but I'm more of an optimist.
