It's not butthurt when the HC practically refuses to acknowledge you personally even though your his committed QB. It could be fit, Corrals OTF troubles, we may never know. Its better to have a bird in the hand than try to catch the ones in the tree.

It's pretty simple, really. Matt doesn't fit what Mullen wants to do, so even if he is super talented, if he's not a fit, then he's better off going elsewhere. It's a shitty situation and I feel terrible for him because he's been extremely loyal to us, and I'll root like hell for him wherever he lands, but damn guys, he's not a fit. Look at the guys Mullen has visited. Not a single one of them are like Corral. The writing is on the wall. It's not that hard to see what's happening.

We're not pushing him out of the class, but it's clear that he isn't a fit for this offense and we're leaving him open to seeing what else is out there.

Emory (dual-threat) is the same height and weight as Corral -- it just makes no sense, man. Corral is an elite quarterback, and we could easily conform our offense to him like Mullen has in the past.

Risking him this late in the season is retarded.

Good article on Corral with quotes from his father

LINK

quote:

“Coach Mullen called my wife and I at home after one his assistants [Billy Gonzales] came to see Matt,” his father said. “He was just telling us that Matt is his guy and that he can’t wait to meet us.”

quote:

“Coach Gonzales told Matt he’s got the ‘it’ factor,” Corral’s father said. “He told us they can build their offense around him and his strengths. That’s what Matt wants.

“His goal is to play in the NFL and Coach Mullen can get him there. Everybody knows he can coach quarterbacks. He’s a great coach. There’s no doubt about that.”

Hopefully everything will fall into place,” Corral’s father said. “I just want Matt to be happy, settled down, comfortable where he’s at and knowing that he’s wanted there.”

Beats the frick out of me. I heard we had a top 5 quarterback in the class but frick him, right? I heard we went after a JUCO prospect who was the same height and weight as that quarterback.

Terry Wilson is 6'3 200lb, was the #8 dual threat 4 star QB coming out of high school going to Oregon and is now the #2 JUCO QB in America. Watch his film. He's an okay passer and a great athlete. Gimme him, Corral, and Gatewood/Emory Jones/Mayden and let's call it a class.
