Not false on TJ Slaton.

He is someone Miami wanted badly.

They wanted him so bad that even when he pulled his shite about wanting to play DT, Miami's DL Coach even offered him a spot at DT. This is a fact. Slaton was a priority until they coaching staff realized he just didn't want to play for Miami.

Yes Miami did want Daquon Green. Dugans tried to recruit him but Green had zero interest whatsoever which is why you never heard any buzz about him at all which is why Miami fans don't think that they wanted him. People close to the program will tell you they wanted him but they realized they had no shot, so they gave up.

Miami will absolutely not take Elijah Moore and they have been very clear to him about that. Where as Mike Harley, they slow played him and never told him they wouldn't take him.

You are correct about Dunlap, but to add to that he also showed up to Miami completely out of shape and the coaches were concerned that he wasn't taking things seriously with his diet and final year of high school which is why they weren't upset looking at other targets. However they definitely still would've taken him, he was once a silent commit for Miami.

Miami's staff liked Russell a lot, however they knew he wanted to get out of Miami for college so that's why the stopped recruiting him when he decommitted.

Thornton might be the most underrated WR in Florida this year and we definitely would've loved to have him because he has as much upside as any WR in the state. Terrence Marshall will end up at Texas, I'm sorry but anyone close to Miami's staff will tell you he is a pipe dream despite him having Miami in his top 4.

So you think the staff wanted Jeudy, Smith, Holloman, Njoku, and Daquon Green in this class? Seems to me those other guys were clearly our top targets, then Jeff Thomas jumped to the top of our board. I mean every school offers like 15+ WRs per year. I mean in this class we offered Amon Ra, yet no chance of that happening. Copeland tried to commit to us and Clemson I think at one point (and it wouldn't surprise me if he tried to commit to Bama recently too). Pretty sure This staff also wanted Warren Thompson and Jatavious Harris at one point also. We're in Marshalls top 4 (obviously slim chance) and Kevin Austin is still considering us (looks like ND for him), all while having 3 studs already committed. Is UTenn getting Harris considered a recruiting victory over Miami?.... But its similar with Quincy Wilson as well. Miami never had a chance. Obviously we wanted him, but we also wanted Leatherwood, and every other 5* we had no chance at getting, doesn't make it really a recruiting Loss if you know what I mean.

I think the staff seriously fricked up by not making Kevin Austin the priority over guys like X (i know more of a safety) and Thornton. And I've already said Thornton is a great get by UF, I just don't think we should have made him the priority over the players we did or this early in the process. To me he still has to prove himself.

I'm confused as to why we have two seemingly pro cane fans talking cane recruiting on a uf forum. Don't you guys have other places to debate this?

Miami didn't want Harris after evaluations proceeded.

Florida beat Miami big on Green. Miami whiffed on their top targets.

Stop being a homer, Florida has huge pull in the state.

Heres a question for yall - Any other uncommitted guys we are both currently going head to head for?
And I'm not talking about any potential flips, I mean guys that are currently uncommitted.

I don't think we really are, but maybe yall know....

I guess I have to do the dirty work and make life miserable for the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Fables fan?

Tell us all about your great school...and fan support. When you play teams like Duke, Wake Forest, NC State, why the hell are there 20,000 "fans" in the rent a stadium? And probably 5,000 of them are giveaways to boys clubs. Must be nice driving in Miamuh traffic 45-55 minutes to watch games? And the freaking drivers down there are like kamikaze pilots.

Your school has no athletic budget and Sha la la has to get on her knees and beg for scraps from alumni. Of course maybe another Shapiro will come along with $$ and a 5'7" stature who wants to be with the big boys.

Oh, and I know you are so proud of that conference you are in...wasn't too long ago there were 25,000 attending several of your conference championship games. ESPN lost a ton of money when the girls school and the ibis bunch sucked donkey tails a few years back and they couldn't attract viewers. Nobody wants to watch Boston College or Maryland. Nobody.

The SEC CG is sold out year after year way in advance and gets far more TV revenue and attention from the media.

Your conference sucks and your school sucks....I think that about sums it...expect more of the same when you post here unless you stop with the horseshite about who your school didn't want and the " I would have passed on him " manure too. Got it? Good.

This is a Gator Board...act accordingly.

Who cares? Florida and Miami don't play for two years. I don't give a frick if we're going after the same uncommitted prospects. All I know is if Florida wants a guy that is from South Florida right now, they have a good shot at beating out Miami for him. Period.

Miami's attendance against Duke at home this year was over 57,000

Maybe because Miami had been horrible and fans gave up is why attendance was down. They had pathetic jokes as HCs the past three times. It's a fickle market and they're better things to do than watch a team with no hope and future.

Now that Richt is the coach the area has been inspired and there has been much more hope for the program.

Shalala is no longer than president and Shapiro is in jail, so it's a new era. Julio Frank is the new president and has significantly increased the athletic budget. They were able to hire a legitimate coaching staff and are building a brand new indoor practice facility.

They play in a state of the art NFL stadium that blows away what is in Gainesville. It's not easy to have real estate in Miami since it's so expensive.

Maryland isn't even in the ACC anymore.

The ACC smoked the SEC in head to head play in 2016, if Miami's superior academics and 5 National Championships sucks, being a Florida fan must be really, really bad. For that, I feel sorry for you

Why would a South Carolina SEC alum care about this or know anything about it? Because I'm a homeowner in Miami and I see what goes on around here.

Have some respect any maybe you'll get a little back.

Can we please just ban these dipshits?

Unless they have info to offer on recruits the banter is getting kind of old on what is supposed to be the recruiting thread.

Or maybe we can just start a thread dedicated to this so the rest of us can avoid this crap.

Hope this doesn't take away from the current recruits and this thread, but is there any chance Aaron Robinson wants to come to UF after leaving Bama? I liked his tape a year ago.
