I know it was just 1 game but if the team can "see the ball, be the ball" and play as a team then they have a chance at a good year. SEC play starts and the league is deep all around.

That's got to be the worst loss I've seen in the Mike White era.

Is it baseball season yet? Just lost to the worst basketball team in the SEC at home. Mike White better get his shite together because this team looks awful.

I actually like Mike White. I just decided soon as Donovan left I was going to lower my expectations for UF basketball a little and just ride with whoever they hire. White has done about a good a job as anybody following a legend like that. And personally I think he has done an overall good job at UF but tonight's loss was a just a damned embarrassment.

They (SC) are the worst team in the league and so by default, we are now the worst team in the league.

It's one thing to lay an egg here and there. Every team does this, but we do it with regularity. FSU, the 1st Butler game, and now this. We also had stinker games in some of the wins like Mercer, West Va, and FGCU.

With the best class of new freshman coming in next year the future should be looking bright but is is not. WHite should impose the 40 minutes of hell style of play as deep as this team is and we could still win 20 games imo. Unleash these guys and let them run and shoot. This ball control crap sucks. Okaru needs more minutes to keep Nembhard fresh. He is playing too many damn minutes.

Its a head scratcher to let a 4-7 team come into your house and beat you.

Complete coaching frick up. With 3.5 seconds left in a tie game how do you let them behind you for a lob slam dunk?

Yeah I have always hated ball control type of offense I like uptempo run the floor play press on defense type of basketball. I only like ball control when you are up by 20+ with about 3-5 minutes left to go.

Plenty of offenses succeed with "ball controll"

Problem is that Mike White's offense is just nothing. It's the most vanilla dribble drive shite your little brother would come up with in 2k

When you have a creative PG like Chiozza, you're fine. When you don't... Ugly.

Let me correct myself by saying that I don't prefer the ball control and clock control as much. I don't mind if we occasionally slow it down to control the game and keep the other coaches guessing. Also I think out freshman PG is pretty creative?

Nembhard is really talented and already pretty good but he doesn't get into sets as quickly as Chiozza did, at least yet. The ball sticks to his hands a bit too much in the halfcourt, which I'm sure will improve with age

That is a good description of it. Not sure if it is so much his fault or the others not moving like they should.

Well, we almost snatched victory away from the jaws of defeat by Arkie. But on the road its sometimes easy for a homecrowd to fire up a rally.

Good W on the road...now we face Vols at home.

20% Chance we can beat them. We would need to light it up from 3 point line and not go cold when they make a run.

9-6 and we're not even half way through January. At this rate we won't even get invited to the NIT. 4th year for Mike White and somehow the team has gotten worse. Time for him to go. Throw the bank at Billy D and beg him to come back.

I agree. I've pretty much given up on White. He looks like BD, he tries to pose like BD but he is nowhere close to being BD. He's not cut out to be a tourney winning coach. His offense stinks and his in game adjustments are awful. I've seen enough. Time to reset.

Sad to say I agree. He doesn't have the stones imo. Sucks, but we are going to go on a long slow spiral over the next 2-3 years. Oh well, how 'bout that football team??
