Gators no longer in the Soloman running. He has made a change to his official visit list today. Here is his new list.

USC still gets its official visit on Jan. 12.
Auburn will not get an official visit.
Florida will not get an official visit.
He said Georgia might also get an official visit.
The stuff keeps coming. He kept Alabama his leader, stated Michigan was his No. 2 school after that and Georgia would be next.
Solomon also said he’d have his decision by the end of January.

He shared his current pecking order.
Alabama (by a lot)
Michigan (that education)
UGA
USC

I agree, I wouldve liked to have seen some AC's with better recruiting skills added but either way I still think we finish with a very solid class.

Not a shocker, can't expect to get guys of that caliber at mid-major programs like Florida, I mean it's not like we have a long established coach like Kirby Smart, it seems like that guy has been at Georgia forever.

Funny how recruits don't seem to give a shite about the SEC East Crown either.

Most of UGA's recruits are Georgia boys who are raised to love the Dawgs as they are the biggest show in town ala LSU. More often than not those kids are gonna stay home.

UF shares a state with other big programs and everyone else is dipping their toes into the pool.

Keep telling yourself that. Richt never recruited like this. Kirby convinced them to stay even after 7-5 and looking awful. He's gotten 2 5*s from OOS. You don't think GA isn't surrounded by elite programs? UT lives off GA recruiting so much they might as well be in state. GA is surrounded by FL, AUB, Bama, SCAR, UT, FSU, Clemson, etc. SOS had zero problem recruiting when Miami, FSU and UT, AUB were making their runs.

One of the more optimistic types said we close with 8-11 additional players 4* or better can someone please lay that out entirely because I'm trying to buy in but I only get a few more even if I'm super unrealistic:

Robinson
Lemmons (stretch here given academics but fingers crossed)
Slaton
Hunter
Ray or Parks (supposedly a split deal)
Henderson
Stewart
Gray

That's 8 and basically gives us every single 4* who has us in their top 5 (a massive leap given how often we seem to be bridesmaids).

Montana, its time to slash your wrists...all is lost. UF is doomed, coaches suck, recruiting sucks, sky is falling, the coaches suck, recruiting sucks....rinse and repeat.

I mean, the only one on that list that UF isn't currently expected to land would be Hunter. You are leaving out Herbert, who most believe flip to UF. Splitting between Ray/Parks would be ideal.

Maybe why we have trouble getting elite talent.

Another morsel to consider at the dining room table is JUCO transfers and Mac & staff have been pretty good at it so far and one of those JUCOs just blew open the Iowa game going 85 yds with a screen pass.

There are still a few JUCOs out there who could help us at positions of need. Putu was wisely r/sed so he wouldnt waste a year behind Tabor & Wilson.

BTW on TOS there is an article on the returning defense and that it may not be as bad as some think. We have 14 players coming back on defense with at least 1 start under their belt...which is huge. Most of those starts are from the DL.

Mac to Cal, Kelly to UF PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN!!!!!

Dude, at least be consistant in your complaining. You hate Mac's recruiting but you want to replace him with a HC who hates recruiting??

I think many of us wouldnt have a problem with Kelly if Mac up and left but your rants against one HC would be the same with the other.

Chip Kelly may hate recruiting but he does have a track record of actual offensive success. Mac on the other hand wants to recruit but sucks at it. It's easier to recruit at UF than Cal. If Kelly comes back to college he'll have to recruit.

One good play in a lower tier bowl doesn't make Mark Thompson a success. UF hasnt had much success with JUCOs since Reggie Nelson signed. The defense is lacking in depth AND talent, that's the problem. Putu cant redshirt since he played in the Missouri, UK, NTX. The only way he can RS is medical. He's a project right now and I wouldn't expect from him. He didn't look great in limited action.

Didnt seem to do so well against LSU and Auburn. Yes, with lower level recruits but thats what he'll have here at UF due to his hate for recruiting

I think we close with

James Robinson
Adarius Lemons
TJ Slaton (5 star on scout for the arse who said we don't land elite players)
Jared Parks
Chris Henderson
Brad Stewart
Kai Leon Herbert
Caleb Chandler
Tony Gray
Tyrone Truesdell
Levi Jones/Nick Smith
Surprise with one out of Devon Hunter/LaBryan Ray/Guy not being talked about now

That would be 11 four stars and 2 three stars and a hell of a close to the class. And none of those guys are real longshots save for Devon Hunter and Labryan Ray. But that may not be as long of a shot after OVs

Depending on the rating Slaton gets as a DT -which is what i hear he wants to play. Some say 5 star. So if not add the 1 4 star.

That would put us finishing up
5 stars - 1/0
4 stars - 17/18
3 stars - 9

QB - 2 3 star players
WR - 2 4 star players
RB - 2 4 stars
OL - 4 4 stars 1 3 star
TE - 1 4 star 1 3 star
DT - 1 5 star 1 4 star 1 3 star
DE - 2 4 star
LB - 1 4 star 3 3 star
DB - 4 4 star 1 3 star
Per Rivals rankings
Solid class imo.

No sir. I do think we may see some leave the program though. A few OL would be my guess. This class will recruit over sone, which is a good thing.
