Blades posted a pic of himself in USC gear. May be losing this one.

I am on paid board at Alligator Alley and thats Luke Stampini, the best recruiting site for me. What'd you wanna know Atl?
Unfortunately some of the peanut gallery is the "sky is falling" crowd, but I have seen a slight reversal from some and I think the forum members by and large realize that the recruiting is still optimistic and the article on Blades has mixed reviews...there is a post that he did this before and then went back to being all Gator...he is still tweeting Gator CBs.

Per Gator country article a good read by the way.
Andrew:Right. I mean, and here’s the thing. I hate to say this, because I feel like I’m just calling or picking on the person, but Tre McKitty, the reports are the he says he wanted to come to Florida, but didn’t want to play for Nord. You can’t have that happen. You just can’t have that happen. Link below

We all know staff changes are coming. That is pretty disturbing though.

That is bad. Really bad. In this day and age, it's hard for recruits to relate and play for old white men. Now, I think we have two TE commits that are better than Tre McKitty, but this is still a bad trend and something I hope we see Mac nip in the butt on January 3rd

This is why I lean on Stampini and recruiting to be honest. Spivey will "speculate" too much to sell his product. WHY would he state "according to reports" first of all???
Now all services will use some rumors and especially if they cant bite the hand that feeds them. But I hate it when the majority of crap spewed on the internet is "fluff". I did major in journalism btw and although I was too much of a party animal to really apply myself back when I was younger..I know fluff when I see it. And Im not saying that podcast is fluff...Im talking in general terms.
These guys that are responsible for making their content worthy of folks paying for it will stretch things to make the buyer/customer think they have a good value. Im in sales and marketing and have been for many years. Like every business out there, they face competition and want to make sure they keep customers.
I guess Bob Redmond is the big name at Fighting Gators? I cant keep up with who is on first base anymore.
The one thing I did like about that podcast is the time frame of current UF recruiting and I posted something close in nature. The entire Mac staff has only been recruiting a short time in the scheme of things and as they stated, Saban has been on a lot of the really good recruits since they were in 8th grade...Mac really less than 2 yrs when you consider he had a month or so to recruit and get a staff together after he was hired.
Do we have problems in recruiting? I think we do, but not to the degree some think. What Mac & his staff have done to counter balance some of the recruiting has been to bring in transfers and JUCOs...which dont show up in actual recruiting ranks as much as high schoolers. Mac knew he needed immediate help on offense and set out to help that side of the ball. The other success they have accomplished is coaching up frosh to play very well in spite of being 3*s
To assert how dismal our offense has been is not entirely accurate when you peel off a layer...Mac had to immediately recruit OL, which was in poor condition going all the way back to Meyers last year here. OL is the one position that requires more maturity and snap experience than any other. Folks, we have had OL in diapers if you look at how many true frosh and now true sophs we have started games.
2017 will be the turning point imo. Depth is now going to be a strong suit for us and starters have to be on their toes because they have players behind that want their jobs. The bench can be a powerful coaching tool. You think those Bama players take starting for granted? Hell no.
And for all the hand wringing and snorting...QB is not exactly the most important peice of the puzzle for our offense. The OL is the most important part. Your QB cant throw when prone on the ground and your RBs cant run when they are being met in the backfield.
Our real problem is the lack of a suitable run game to move chains and not have our QB face third and longs. It may be boring to some...but I love pads a popping and seeing OL move out a DL and get to the LBs. We cant finish 12-14th in the SEC in rushing and expect success like we all want. Its a credit to our defense we have won the east twice now.
I have faith that Mac will get QB position straighten out soon. Will be happy to see a QB who will be a game manager and hand off to our RBs and throw the ball when the defense isnt expecting it as much. The main thing is ball security and cutting down miscues and flags.

No recruit is going to love every coach. Yeah supposedly Nord cost us a 3 star TE but we landed a 4 star TE so.... Ofcourse if it becomes a trend you have to make a move but in this case Im not saying the sky is falling.

Gamble was recruited by Shannon and Dixon. Nord's area is Georgia. He is respected there but I don't think he is pulling his weight.

I would not pay to get info from Stampini. He just repeats info from other sites. Bob maybe especially if Locksley gets hired, but Bob is super vague.
To me Zach Abolverdi is better than both of them since it is free info.

At least the Silly Season will not be boring. Last year Mac got Gray from VT and that has worked out pretty good on the field and recruiting.

Then why do other staffs have zero problem recruiting in the same time frame or less?

Stop. Just stop with the blaming everyone else but Mac. Yes he was dealt a shite hand. He made it worse by keeping summers and Hiring nuss to run an ancient offense and poor defensive recruiters. Plenty of teams had young OL and didn't finish in the 100s in offense. Besides Pineiro what has any transfer done here?

Grady

None of these guys have made a great impact at all.
Outside of Callaway, Taylor, Reese, and Perine which 3*s have this staff coached up?
Once Blades decommits we'll bee 11th in the SEC behind UK and Arkansas.

I would add that the grad transfers haven't really panned out and now UF is on probation and can't take anymore for like 3 years.

Mr Vosean Joseph looks like a good one. So there's 5.

Vosean Joseph, Jabari Zuniga, Tyler Jordan...
And this is all in two seasons. There will be more the more time Mac has to develop them.
You sound like you're rooting for Blades to decommit. Very interesting, coming from a "fan". Can you tell me where the class will rank when we land James Robinson, Brad Stewart, Brian Edwards, Tyrone Truesdell, TJ Moore, Kai Leon Herbert, etc.? Why are you obsessed with recruiting rankings a month before signing day? This time when Mac took over, the class was ranked 121st and finished 20th. This class is going to close fine, have plenty of really good ball players, and you're still going to bitch about it and troll every thread that talks positively about our coach and our school.
