Our instate recruiting is making me wonder if getting Randy in here is helping. He supposedly had connections in south Florida. Based on ESPN's ranking of the top 25 kids out of Florida here is the breakdown.
4-Alabama
3-Ohio State
3-FSU
3-Miami
1-Florida/Georgia/Notre Dame/Michigan/Texas A&M/LSU
6-Undecided
I think we can finish strong however. A lot of time left.
Leatherwood in no way will flip to UF
Campbell is a solid pickup but heard he may have trouble with academics.

A few coaches need to step it up in the recruiting area. Like you said, there's still time.

Shannon has landed UF several Miami kids. He's the ONLY reason UF is even relevant down there right now.
Supposedly, UF still is the team to beat for CB CJ Henderson coming off his Miami visit.
Also, still lead for Brad Stewart and in great position to flip Tray Bishop.
Rumblings that CB Shaun Wade could flip to UF as well.
DT Truesdell still looking good for UF.

There's ALOT to not be pleased with in recruiting, but I'm choosing to pass on some positive stuff.

I think there's definitely some struggles in recruiting, specifically a few positions, but I'm willing to see how it finishes up.

Throwing huge money at Schiano and ripping him out of Ohio St would be worth far more than these facility upgrades people keep whining about. That alone could potentially shut OSU out of Florida recruiting battles.
Florida recruiting battles must first get back to being contests among the big 3 Florida schools.

Florida kids don't have the sense of loyalty that LA or other southern states do.

I think I have accepted the realization that we are never going to be a program that recruits at the top tier again. I just think we do things the right way and that isn't necessarily how everyone else does things.

I wont name any schools...but some are underhanded in how they recruit...the biggest culprit? Not gonna name names but their chant is war ...n e....
Memo to big D , dont fret...I firmly believe that good times are a coming and once we get entrenched...recruiting will be much better...2 years even isnt a long time when other schools helped them cross streets to go elementary schools and helped momma pack their school lunches.

They did when the top three schools were all elite.

Gators have offered the Hawaiian QB. I guess Lane leaving Bama and LSU not having an OC opened a door in their eyes??

Shaun Wade reconfirmed his commitment to Ohio State yesterday. Leatherwood also said after his UF visit he still doesn't want to play anywhere else but Bama. Was hoping we landed that guy.

Yeah, to me he was the main one I thought could turn the class around.
