It started on thursday playing whitmire shot an 85, home course so i played decent golf.

Friday we came down to santee for 3 days of golf starting out with wyboo. Tee time was at 11 so it was dog arse hot and i played like shot. The 2 compounded led me to tank and shot a 103. Wyboo is a great course but it was my first time there and on the first hole had a crow fly in my cart and steal my granola bar, was super pissed...overall bad day.

Saturday played Santee Cooper Country Club, my second favorite course down here (favorite being Lake Marion), played a great round with how slick the greens were, and them having just verticut the greens so theybwerent breaking as hard as the should have been. Shot an 81.

Tomorrow is foxboro
Edit:Just finished up on foxboro...man what a world of difference. The greens were slow as hell. Left almost everything short today. Finished at 89, not terruble with leacing so many short today. Overall not a terrible course but layout is pretty confusing. Not a huge fan, pace was stupid slow

Monday is back at whitmire.

Will update as the last 2 rounds play out

Also love coming down here just for the fox squirrels.

We’ve still got to have a golf meet and greet day. I know we’ve talked about it a few times on here over the years.

Sauna like conditions (high heat and humidity) will sap it out of you super quick. A 103 isn't great but for the weather conditions and it being your first time to play the course its not that bad.

I always say the first time you play a course to not even keep track of the score because its more of a practice run then anything else.

To avoid summer vacation plans for most, let’s maybe shoot for sometime in August before football season starts.

I haven't played Lake Marion since I was a kid. I qualified for the State All Star tournament when I was 11 or 12 at Santee National and my dad loved Lake Marion. We left a day earlier than scheduled to go play there before my practice round. It was one of the courses he either tied course record or missed tying it by one back in the mid-late 70's. I sure would like to go play there again. Good memories from that day and trip.

The State All-Star tourney was still at Santee National when I played in it back in the early 2000's.

Wyboo is a good course, I've been meaning to try the old Wyboo Players course that reopened late last year I think. It's called something different now. Lake Marion and Santee National are my two favorites in that area.
