All the USC stuff at Dick's was 40% off. Thought it might have to die with a potential sponsor switch

Saw the Tanner tweet, but multiple sources are calling the switch to Nike.

Some updated info on Auburn's DC situation. Auburn's now looking at current USF DC Tom Allen for the job, AU LB Coach Lance Thompson has expressed interest. However if Thompson doesn't get the job (which is looking likely) there's a good chance he'd come join Muschamp to coach LB's. Has South Carolina ties (Citadel Grad) plus he's a fantastic recruiter. He was responsible for recruiting Julio Jones, Jonathan Allen & many other highly talented players.
Also, I've heard that Ellis Johnson will officially be apart of the staff sometime this upcoming week.

Some info related to DLine & WR Coaches.
DLINE:
WR:
DLINE:
quote:
The name we have heard the most as it relates to the defensive line is Tracy Rocker, who spent the last two seasons at Georgia and three years before that as the defensive line coach for the Tennessee Titans... I am told it is not a done deal yet that he will join Muschamp's staff, but the two have been in recent contact and he is believed to have an offer on the table.
WR:
quote:
Muschamp has his eye on another Georgia coach for the wide receivers job in the Bulldogs' current interim head coach Bryan McClendon. The 32-year old McClendon has coached both running backs and receivers during his time in Athens and has developed a reputation as one of the nation's top recruiters. He was credited with landing five different five-star players for Georgia in running backs Isaiah Crowell, Nick Chubb, Keith Marshall and Sony Michel, as well as defensive end Lorenzo Carter. He also was the recruiter of record for former Georgia star Todd Gurley, now with the St. Louis Rams.

Seems pretty fluid at the moment.
Tanner has gotten a much better offer from UA, Nike may not match or exceed, who knows.
One faction wants to go with Nike, the other wants to stay with UA. BOTs and accountants are involved. No one is sure where this will end but if I had to guess it'll be UA because they have brought in the big dogs and there are some existing relationships in play.
Of course if Nike steps up with really big money it's over for AU. Dawn Staley and Frank Martin both want Nike and Nike is about to go big with a women's line of shoes and purses so they may be ready to come big. My wife just got one of the 1 in 500 purses, it's the size of a suitcase but she loves it.

Under Armour sent out a tweet showing some mad love to the WBB and MBB teams touting us as the only school with both to still be undefeated.
It was the "I Will" campaign.
Seemed sort of like a desperation move, honestly.

Those 2 would be good hires. If they aren't returning to georgia, there will be other schools looking at them too. It's going to take some $ to get them.

Been hearing Rocker to y'all for a while now.
Bmac is probably coming as well. The guy is a great recruiter. His impact will be felt immediately.

... ain't happenin' this coming season. We're Under Armour for now. Once this contract expires anything is possible. But it's official, we're going to remain Under Armour for at least the next calendar year which means through the end of the next academic year. So ... through June of 2017.

I thought it expired on July 1, 2016, meaning we were going to listen to offers now and this spring?
I saw that tweet by Tanner stating that we are an UA school, but I also think there is some fire to the smoke about possibly switching.

I just gotta give y'all something, I wish I could offer more, but if Muschamp pulls this off ... keep your fingers crossed. It will be one of the greatest recruiting coups imaginable. Keep your fingers crossed. CORSAHHHB
Oh, and Jeff Dillman is going to remain on the Bama staff I think, until after the Championship Game, but he's settled-in here as well. I like him a lot. He tried to muscle me on the handshake but I muscled back ... bones cracked, not sure whose. I like the guy.
