I'm kind of hoping this hire will come out of left field like Bielema at Arkansas or Frank Martin in basketball at this point.
Pretty sure I'd rather take the field over any of the candidates mentioned for the job that are left

Hope you're right. Some guy on another site is posting that he talked to some players, and they said he already have our guy.

Guys, it's time to get a real big time hire. He's 59, so he has at least 6-8 years left in him, barring any health issues. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.

We're totally going to end up with a GA from Montana State or something, lol.

Is there a board meeting tonight to discuss offering the job to Muschamp?

I'll go fillibuster the shite out of it drunk as frick. Even if my opinion means diddly squat.

Not sure if serious ....
... and why is Matt Connelly reporting Richt to SCAR?

I saw it on another site that is usually pretty good about these things. Maybe they are meeting to discuss Richt. That would be quite the twist.

Who is Matt Connelly? What does that name ring a bell? Is he AJC?

I don't know that one tbh.

It would be ironic .... Mark Richt replaced fat bradstard scott as OC at FSU. Of course Scott almost completely ruined our program while Richt went on to become one of the winningest coaches in Georgia football history. Or is he "The" winningest?
Richt evidently has a bone to pick with UGA ... can't say I blame him, which is sorta what motivated Spurrier to come to SCAR as well, at least partially.
Would Richt, at 55 be too old? Probably not. Would he be able to recruit well in Georgia? I dunno. Could he assemble a kick-arse staff here at SCAR? More than likely.
It's all too crazy to even contemplate until I hear it directly from some credible sources. I've gotten several phone calls over the course of the last couple of hours - no one has been able to pin point a source for me except this mysterious Matt Connelly person who's name rings a bell but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Is the the former walk-on we had at safety. Now working for one of the pay sites.

Greetings Cocks!
Please hire Richt then go on to win the SEC in the next three years. The UGA melt would be tasty. Just please don't take Boom from us.
And frick Clemson

Richt would be an amazing hire for y'all
He would make the Cocks consistently good and, you know, Jesus.
There are more evangelicals per capita in South Kakalaka than in Jawja, because Atlanta

Okay then, well that explains that.
Evidently he is reporting that we are talking to Richt?
Something about Tanner meeting with Richt on the way back from meeting with Muschamp?
It's got people high-up talking, that's for sure.

Well ... it's confirmed.
Ray Tanner definitely talked to him today. An interview is imminent.
I am not sure what to make of this - is it good or bad?

Tanner has absolutely zero idea what he's doing.
For this to be his "legacy" hire, the best he can do is bring in Muschamp or Richt, and neither were good enough for two of our East rivals.
We really are the retirement home of coaches.
What a mess.

Tell him to pretend it's like coaching to win a baseball game or something. Use an analogy his brain can comprehend and identify with.
Or just try this: Gamecock Nation is going to stalk and torment you from now till the end of time if you frick this up. Oh...and YOU'RE FIRED.
I'm tired of taking other ppl's disposed of coaches. We'll never hear the end of it from Jawja. Kind of like the LSU torment of aTm about 3rd and Chavis.
