I'm just messing with yall - you got a good one
He was a tiny little option QB from Abilene, Texas (roots in Arkansas however) and he was a walkon to the Razorbacks as a backup QB but mostly as a holder for PAT/FG's
I guess he was a GA for 5 years or so before hooking on the the Tennessee Titans
He's been an NFL OC for 7 years, so don't believe the stories that paint him as some fill-in

Everything I've read about his NFL time was a failure

It wasn't great... But look at the teams he was a coach of and the lack of depth/players.
I dont think he will be bad. However, we massively upgraded at TE coach.

He seems to be a very stout recruiter so we will miss that. Even if he's not great as your OC he should make sure y'all have plenty of weapons at least. You could do much worse.
