I've never paid that close attention to recruiting but after checking the Rivals ranking I just might start. Looking good so far, really good.

We need more DTs ... I'm just not sure who they are going to be. I suspect there is a SDE or two or three that will end up moving to the inside.
Still, Boom is not going to make the same mistake he made at Florida and burn all of his schollies signing defensive guys while neglecting the offensive side of the football.
He's said in speeches early-on that he made a mistake not receuiting enough OLinemen, WRs and RBs at Florida and it cost him. He's not going to make the same mistake twice.
This time around he'll keep it very balanced while filling needs. I seriously doubt he'll take another TE other than the one already committed. He's going to take a minimum of four, probably five, LBs. He wants at least one more big time RB in this class. He maybe wants another WR but it's not a must unless Edwards declares after this year ... that's a roll of the dice. He needs a couple more DBs/Safeties. He's good at QB. Needs one more big time OLineman.
And another aspect to all of this is that he may be reaching that long sighted stage where he can afford to short a position because he knows great talent is available, that he feels comfortable getting, in the next class.
I do agree, we need at least one more big time DTackle but let's not forget, he just enrolled Sandige and Ellis, so things are already looking up for us there.

The thing about DT's Rooster, is that at least one of the DE's that we have signed will likely grow into a DT. There has already been speculation that Pickens could do so, not because we need him to, but because his frame is so large that he may just naturally grow into a DT sized guy.
When it comes to DL recruiting thus far in the Champ era, I've learned just to throw positions out the window. They are almost all being recruited to play DL, not a specific position.
Take Travon Walker who was on his OV last weekend. He's listed as a 5* DT on every service, but we told him he could play every spot on the DL including Buck depending on the package. This is no longer any of our daddy's DL's.

Also don't forget about the Juco OL Whigan that was on an OV to us last weekend as well.

New commit! Kevin Harris out of Hinesville GA. 2019 RB, not ranked but was offered after He ran a 4.5/40 flat at 5’11 230 today at camp. 35 inch vert to boot. Offers from wofford Tulane, Cornell and all 3 service academies. So he’s smart and a probably a hard worker. Probably a good back for the jumbo goal line package moving forward

Plus My Alma Mater. Those offers should point towards a high character guy as well (or experience in a triple option offense). FWIW, I was referring to the service academy offers, not necessarily MY Alma mater.
