I guess that explains why we backed-off of Tra braw.
Mike Peterson is gonna be such a LB recruiting machine under Boom for as long as we keep him. I fully expect Mullen to try to get him eventually.

We never backed off of tra as we werent in contact for months...we gave a verbal offer due to decent film and he never came to camp...simple as that

But there is another ... well, narrative.
We're now on seven (7) LBs who we feel are better prospects. Four I think I know who they are ... the other three I have no clue but we must feel pretty good about landing four or five of them with four being pure LBs and one who they think they can convert which I am assuming is the kid (RB) out of Charlotte. Although, it could be a big DB/Safety type out of Georgia.

They feel good about jahmar brown lb out of miami who is announcing on thursday and viaiting first weekend of june...i assume kalen deloach is another...maybe freahwater and jamie pettway

Yep ... and I do hope we land Brown, he's big time but Mark Richt is gonna be tough to beat.
Deloach and Freshwater are others we're supposedly looking good with, agreed. The rest, who knows. They are all coming out of Florida, Georgia and NC plus at least one JuCo that I know of. Fann, Crouch, Pettaway, Jean are other names being thrown out there. The Jean kid is intriguing because Peterson has made a lot of progress with him lately and is selling him on the whole prototypical NFL Mike LB thing whereas everyone else wants him on the end. Savion Jackson is a kid we want as a Buck, so does Bama, but everyone else is trying to sell him on being an End ... most think we've got a good shot at Jackson.
I was told last night that the thing with Stephenson has been ironed-out and has calmed-down. So who knows what's up with all of that. I'm going to miss my Wednesday morning breakfast tomorrow morning because I'll be up at Bragg for All-American Week but hopefully one of the guys will update me by phone tomorrow night some time, if I am sober enough, and we'll start getting some good news trickling-out on some of these kids. Don't care about commits this early so-much ... but would love to see us continuing to move up into all of these Top 5 lists some of these prospects are starting to put-out on Twitter.
We need a really big haul this year in the SDE, Mike and Buck department.

Miami Indider just CB'd Brown to us. He is a very good lb out of St. Thomas Aquinas, always good to pull talent from that school. browns profile

Wow ... man oh man Boom and Peterson are really looking to clean up at LB and Buck this year.
Back to what I was saying last week ... this explains why we got off of Tra and didn't pursue him past the feeler, didn't extend him a commitable offer. That Stephenson RC is full of BS.

I had a Clemson co-worker who works at our office up there tell me today that the issue with Belk transferring is related to a hazing incident that took place. That would sort of make sense as to why he hired an attorney, but also makes him look like a beta. If it was hazing, I hope it was serious, and Clemson has an E-60 made about them.
Also, Belk is on campus here at USC today. Not sure if that has been posted anywhere.
