With the big10 going to conference only; I’m assuming the other conferences will follow suit. I know in S.C. it’s a law that Clemson and S.C. play. My question is since every conference besides the sec and acc play 9 games, will the sec and acc make some sort of bubble between themselves to preserve these games and get everyone a 9th game that doesn’t have a rivalry game?

Who cares, we're just going to get embarrassed again. As long as Muschamp is here, we're not even competitive with Clemson or any other above mediocre team.

That is a myth. There is no law.

Even though it'd be an arse beating, I want the Clemson-SC game played considering it has been going ever year since 1909.

This is true. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if I recall correctly there was a proposal by a state legislature to make it a law that SC and Clemson had to play each other every year as rivalries like Texas-A&M and Mizzou-Kansas were being abandon. The consensus was that there didn't need to be a law because there was no chance that the two wouldn't play each other.

I'm with you Cocky. It may be an arse beating but I just can't not see South Carolina and Clemson face off every November - bad result or otherwise.

It’s still a fun game to be apart of
Hating Clemson and the annual game is a great tradition
We don’t have much, atleast we have this rivalry

I don’t think it will get canceled since the game is in the state

No it isn't. Absent our 5-year run between 2009-2013, we've beaten them 6 times (87, 92, 94, 96, 01 and 06) in my life and I'm 35. They have owned us on the field and the way things look now we probably won't beat them for a generation. The game isn't a rivalry, it's our annual trip to the woodshed.

Hey man, there was a time in my life when they were only up 14-10 on us (I’m 30.. and it’s 20-10 now but that’s only because Clemson has far outplayed their historic average. I don’t expect that to last for forever)

But I’m with IBG on this. I want UGA and Clemson on every single schedule from now until as long as CFB is played. Obviously I want to win those games more than we do but I’d rather at least see us on the field and at least try - even if we get our arse kicked.

That’s way preferable to me than being too scared to even play them.

It's not being scared to play them, it's being tired of dealing with their fans. Where I live, you're one or the other. My mom's family are all Clemson people. Our church is split down the middle and so is work. It is absolute hell right now and has been since 2014. And the future is bleak.

shite happens
So you do better in life
Most my Clemson fan friends never left Greenville
They’re blue collar or Recruiters

Sure they may win the games, but I’ve won the war

Have you always felt that way about the UGA game? It feels like a recent rivalry to me.

For the “younger” gamecocks I’d say yes
Older folks probably NC State or UNC
I only remember us in the SEC and in my lifetime we’ve only played NC State and UNC a combined 8 times

Its really not, its like finding joy in patheticness. The sad part is the problem is so easy to solve and we have all the resources. Unfortunately we have a bunch of total faggets running things.

Maybe I do?
Because at the end of the day I’ll probably never be as low as our football team is

We have faggots running things?
We just hired Caslen

He’ll kick arse and take names, no?

ETA: so faggots is fricking sensored on this site?

YOu're not wrong my friend. I live in Clemson and my greatest joy is mocking them daily to their faces. Well that and turning their money down at my business to keep them off of their own lake.

He's qualified when he shows frickhead A and frickhead B the door and hires a real coach.
