I like that our best thread is about BBQ. It really shows where we are as a fanbase and team. Anyway back to the BBQ talk....

Alright so complete your bbq plate:

BBQ
Rice covered in Hash or rice

What else would you take?

For me I usually put some corn nuggets and baked beans on it.

BBQ - lower Florence county to Dillon, chipped, close second anything with bessinger in their genes.
Rice and Hash - I-26 from Cola to Chucktown, close second any chicken bog
Slaw - anything close to KFC.
Some combination of all three must be on the plate.

Really anything in SC. Out of 50 or so joints, I have only eaten at a couple that I didnt like.

Mac, collards, green beans, baked beans w/ bacon, hushpuppies, skins, slice of white bread. Banana pudding or chocolate delight for dessert.

Damn I might have to hit up Palmetto Pig.

A few years ago my wife bought me a campchef pellet grill. I call it the "easy bake oven for men..."

It varies, but it has to have BBQ (pulled or chopped pork), BBQ beans and Slaw. I'll rotate in fries, corn on the cob or green beans. The list of things that aren't easy to get here, but would be on the menu back east would be hash, collards and hush puppies.

And FWIW, BBQ beans are my specialty. And it's a secret recipe, so don't ask. (I will tell you that I use generous amounts of pulled pork a from previous cook in them.)

I ended up cooking is Sat night. Put it on before bed, it was ready after church on Sunday. Easy Peazy. I even had a wireless thermometer so I didn't even have to get out of bed to check the temp of the smoker and meat overnight.

To update OP, it seems Schoolhouse BBQ is opening a new location in the old Prosser's BBQ building in Murrells Inlet.

That's awesome, I make it up to Murrells inlet way more than Scranton, lol.
That may bump Hog Heaven down a spot.
I'll check it out in a couple of weeks.

What's the name of his place? I've heard of him from some of my fraternity brothers who are from York and Lancaster Counties. They say he's the best caterer for Southern style food and meats in the Charlotte area. He apparently caters to whichever of the Carolina sauces you prefer.
