What are your thoughts on how OT should be played? Spot it at the 25 and play it til we have a winner? Or, just play a quarter and first one to score wins?
I prefer the way it's done in NCAA, it's one thing I do believe they have correct. You're going to end up with a winner one way or the other. Just some thoughts after two weekends in a row with a tie in the NFL...

I like the college rule, but I would prefer they move it back to the 40. The defenses are at too much a disadvantage as it is.

College all day. Ties make me cringe.

Agreed. Also the short field favors a running team.

The only problem with spotting it at the 25 is it's almost an automatic FG even if you don't run a play. Moving it to the 35 means the other team at least has to make a few positive yards before they can kick it.

agree with others - move the LOS to start OT back. 35-40 yd line.
have a coin flip to begin the 1OT period and only after every 4 OT periods, if needed. whichever team has the ball first in 1OT will have the ball first in each following OT period until another coin flip occurs.
defenses are at a disadvantage under current possession rules when the game continues from odd to even numbered OT's.

I like the college format better than the pro format for OT. I wouldn't change anything. I would prefer the pro's adopt that format.
