I owe y'all this, and y'all deserve it. I've actually been working on it and it's pretty long. I was surprised, especially after talking to some of my old-timer buddies, how much we'd all remember from the early days and especially the board wars.
I have to admit I am a little hesitant, fearful even, of opening old wounds. Even talking to some of the guys, and girls, some of them said things like, "Wow, are you sure you want to go there?" and "how many of those people are still around, you don't want to get that started again."
Those were interesting times. It was brutal to watch and you had to take sides and couldn't help but get involved. Plus, I have to admit, some of us still hold some of the people over at GC Central responsible for those days, and I know for a fact that some of the ones most affected by it will probably never forgive some of those people over there. It was nasty. You're just not going to believe some of it but I have made sure to double-check everything, at least from mine and others perspectives. Still yet, it is one-sided in that regard because I was viewing it, eventually once I saw what was happening, from a friendly perspective towards one of the key figures and his website, Gamecock Nation. I met the guy, and met others from both sides over the years, and the ones I met from Gamecock Nation were the good guys IMHO. The other side was not. Simply two different classes of people IMHO. Unfortunately, the bad ones, IMHO, some of them are still around.
So anyways, what I was thinking is that since I promised this during the off season, and had originally intended to start after signing day but decided to make some calls and make sure I was getting all the facts straight, it's already "now," and now I am afraid of jinxing the baseball team if I declare this the off season while hoping we make a run into June and Omaha. If I started this thing now, I am afraid it might be bad luck and cut the baseball season short.

Just a suggestion, when BOARD WARS actually starts, start a new thread and anchor this one so it will be about BOARD WARS and not all this crap.

I don't know... it might actually be better to leave this up and use this one for the actual story. It would be almost poetic to have the story come out amid all the strife... like it's the reminiscence of an aged elder about how bad the past was and to learn to ignore the slights of today. We could then just print this out and send it off to Hollywood for the inevitable next step...
