Not that I want one, but are we going to a Bowl or not?

Just read on tRant:
There's talk that South Carolina is going to go to a bowl game (Gasparillia) and that the SEC has basically told every program "if you are invited, you are going, end of story".
I read somewhere we said we'd turn an invite down.. but maybe we won't have the option due to revenues from said Bowl? I really don't want to see us get beaten 59-3 by Wake Forest.

I want the 12 extra practices, not a bowl.

It's not like the practices would be with Beamer. He has to go coach TEs at Oklahoma through the end of the season.

Also who knows, even though he won’t be coaching maybe the guys will have a little more pep in their steps taking on some ACC team that finishes barely (or below) .500

It sucks and it's embarrassing but if we do indeed get paid to go I can see why we would given the COVID shortfall.

You don't think it's embarrassing to go 2-8 and go to a bowl game? Imagine if we somehow win that thing and are some kind of "champions" with a trophy at 3-8.
