There is a running back at Midland Valley high school (close to Aiken SC) that is tearing it up. Is he on y'all's board? Traevon Dunbar. Has over 1200 rushing yards and 14 TDS in 7 games.

I don't think he is right now, but I'd bet money that the staff offers him if/when Daniel Hill commits to Bama.

From my understanding, they're recruiting him. But that Hill kid in Mississippi is who they've focused on. This is an incorrect take, and it's a problem I have with this staff. They have tried to expand the recruiting footprint, but have neglected SC talent as a result.

It's no surprise that SC's best teams have always been built with SC players. Hill will not come here, because his dad really wants him at Alabama. I'd much prefer to lock down the state, then go to Ga/Fl/NC for reinforcement. But, Beamer recruits as if he's at a different school with bigger resources. He's landed some big fish in this way, but he's lost more.

don't we have like 4 of the states top 5 recruits. I thought we were doing pretty well recruiting the state.

Need to flip Staley, and get the S from Francis Marion that is committed to UK.

I am firm, firm believer that you don't chase a "great" prospect out of state over a "really good" prospect in state.

SC produces a ton of talent relative to its size. Need to completely lock it down. Chasing Daniel Hill is a waste of time.

I think Staley is flippable, I think Soloman is in play now that he has decommitted.

I would agree with you, but I am happy we chased Big Tree last year from the DMV along with Harbor. Are we able to claim the DMV as in state?

I think the in-state recruiting has improved. The 2023 and 2024 classes have a bunch of good recruits from SC.

From what I’ve heard he wants to come to SC. Has made multiple visits, but this ignorant coaching staff is twiddling their thumbs with him.

He started out at my alma mater Silver Bluff HS and was killing it as a freshman. He has great athleticism, great burst, great vision, and very importantly doesn’t mind being physical.
