Hearing rumblings from now 2 different sources (one very close to the program) that we are grabbing a grad transfer QB... and no it won't be Felipe Franks.
Anyone heard about this?
Anyone heard about this?

Well who the hell is it and I'll tell you if I heard about it.

I don't have a name, just that we are in the market and we apparently already know the guy we want.

Hmmm...who is available offhand? I've been babysitting a 4 yr old all day for a friend and swear to God I can't think straight to remember shite at the moment.

This is who it is:
Milton is from UCF.

Oh damn we should all remember Milton

Would they be to provide depth, or would they probably start. I still think a fully healthy Ryan would be a damn good QB, and we really only got to see that vs Bama and CSU. Both games he played pretty well.

I would hope depth, at this point I want Hilinski to be the starter.
he's already got a year under his belt and SHOULD be the most talented QB on the roster.

So we're getting two grad transfer QBs ?

I could also mean they expect Hilinski's recovery to take longer than they are letting on.

It could also mean that they realized they had to rush Hilinski to start due to injury. These transfers could guarantee that Doty gets at least 1 year to RS. Prolonging his time here and solidifying a transition between what could be 2 fantastic QBs for us.

I'll say this for Bobo, he had some nice QB's at UGA. So perhaps he'll be able to break the curse that is "Muschamp QB Aids".

Hilinksi will be spending the off-season healing up from various injuries. Doty also has to heal his hand injury - it may not take so long, but he could benefit from a red-shirt season either way.
After that both Joyner and Ulrich are being groomed for other positions. So we definitely need more QB depth beyond the typical walk-on. Don't know we need 2, but we certainly could use at least one more QB added to the depth.....

Seems Milton is the one. But his injury was so horrific it makes Lattimore's seem like a scratch. His docs say that best case scenario is he has a minimum 9 month rehab that should be able to start in January. He'd have to get a waiver for a 6th year.

Decided to google him to see how he's doing after that awful injury. First article I click on and read half way down....
WTF does that even mean?

Idk what was injured, but it could have messed with an artery, or something.
Granted it’s our dumbass president who spoke in article so who knows what crap he was spouting about

It did. They had to transplant another artery into that leg.
ETA: Brief synopsis of what had to be done:
ETA: Brief synopsis of what had to be done:
quote:
• Surgery to open his right leg to release pressure and fluid buildup and prevent damage to the new artery. "Basically," Milton says, "so it wouldn't blow up."
• Surgery to implant a metal fixator that stretched from his thigh to his shin to keep the leg stabilized, prevent damage to his new artery and allow his damaged nerve to begin to heal without sudden movement. "You know the halos you see around people with head injuries?" Milton says. "That's what I had around my leg. It couldn't move."
• Surgery, three weeks later, to remove the fixator.
• Surgery to repair the lateral collateral ligament and the posterior cruciate ligament. There was no torn anterior cruciate ligament, the most common tear with dislocated knee injuries and the most important ligament in the knee. No medial collateral ligament tear or torn meniscus (also typical). "Usually, you tear everything," Milton says. "The doctors can't explain it. If I didn't have nerve damage, I'd probably be playing this year."

Milton’s injury was really gruesome
Was all over CFB news
He did it in the last game of the season

Same
I really don't see that lasting
I think he'll test it out and then retire from the game.
Like Lattimore did.
