Breaking: Tavien Feaster will enroll at USC following his graduation at Clemson.

has been told that there is no date set at this time for Feaster’s first day with the Gamecocks but he’s expected to join the team following the the end of Clemson’s summer schedule (Aug 5)

I'm glad we're getting him. I just hope people aren't expecting all our RBs issues to be solved by his arrival.

Clemson ppl are saying he's got a chip on his shoulder bc he didn't get the playing time they'd promised him and so he transferred to us as a frick you to them. It kills them to think that maybe we were a good fit for him and what he hopes to accomplish. (And I'd be fine if beating the frick out of Clemson to teach 'em a lesson was part of what he hopes to accomplish)

The only thing I remember is that he had a real interest in us and supposedly Spurrier did something to tick Mom off. Or so the story goes. I take these w/ a grain of salt. There is also the belief that Nick Chubb was coming here but Spurrier was out of town when he wanted to visit. Nick Chubb was never coming here or anywhere else but Georgia.

I'd just assumed he grew up a Clemson fan bc he's from up that way in Spartanburg.

She said that Spurrier appeared to have no idea who her son was, and couldn't have cared less to talk to him at some event a few years back. Given that he was a 5/high 4 star RB from SC who was very interested in playing for us, it left them feeling slighted.
This was around the time that it was clear Spurrier had packed it in, so I believe it.

I thunk he will be a huge asset for Jake but is anyone concerned that we may have a running back or two enter the portal because of this?

Yeah we lost Ty'son Williams to BYU. They are gushing over him. He's a grad transfer too.
So essentially, we traded Feaster for Williams.
Only time will tell, but I think we came out OK on the deal.

By the way, Feaster deleted all but one of his Clemson pics from Instagram. I guess that tells us all we need to know about whether he's out to prove a point to them or not.
