I had lower level endzone seats and got to watch that happen right in front of my eyes. 2011

I'm having more memories of the game now.

My gamecock buddy in Charleston texted me "mouthfricked" right after it happened.

Ever since then, at the conclusion of a UGA-Carolina game, one of us gets the "mouthfricked" text.

2011 was the beginning of the tradition.

Some of yall might know of him, he's a long time inshore charter captain out of IOP.

Mine was '07. I went to,and Carolina lost, all four games of my undergrad (03-06). '04 and '05 essentially broke me from wanting to go to any more of them, so I watched the '07 game on TV. Cory Boyd was back like cooked crack, and Matt Stafford was harassed all night.

My ex-wife and I had a house on the IOP for a lot of years. Sold it a couple of years afger Hugo, once it was rebuilt. Over on Waterway across from the Links Course.

Knew a lot of boat captains back then. All of them are older now, a few are still around.

New everyone in and around Shem Creek. Still have a picture of a boat I was on that Ronnie Boals ran up on a sand bar in the harbor when we were drunk. It was Gene Reed's boat, he was on board too. lol ... we all almost flew over the bow. Came to a dead stop ... Ronnie had the throttle all the way forward.

Glad I'm not living in Charleston anymore. Outgrew that place but it was fun when I was a younger man. The girls liked Wando ... but we moved back up here so they could finish at Hammond rather than putting them in Bishop England at the time.

2001 @ UGA. Petty to Scott

Was at that game sitting literally on the first row twenty yards from Scott when he went up and made that catch.

Stadium was hot as hell ... so hot people were throwing up in the causeway of the stadium after the game and other people were slipping in the puke and falling down ... good gosh it was nasty hot. Stunk to high heaven. Traffic was a nightmare getting out of there that night and there were some seriously deranged angry drunk Dawg fans everywhere.

Ryan Brewer had a great game that night as well. So did another kid ... I wanna say Matthew something or other. WR from Georgia. His only big game ... I can't remember his name at the moment. Helluvan athlete that just never lived up to the hype except that one night.

Matthew Thomas. Never lived up to the hype, but he did run a kickoff back against Virginia if I recall correctly. Was about 14 years before we had another lol.
