Do we have a ring update?
Apologies for anything in life that may be going on in advance, I really don't know so not really trying to be a dick, just curious.

Once again thank you very much for you kind duties as well. And can't wait to see the bling CNB.

He posted on tRant on 2/2. You know he browsed over here as well. Why the hell didn't he update us on the status of this ring? I mean..even a drive by frick y'all would've been better than this utter, complete and total silence.

And why no response about this from CNB? My curiosity is piqued and I must, as a female who is genetically prone to being nosy, find out.

Because I don’t really care. Not saying anything bad about the guy, but I never really expected anything anyway.

If he delivers, awesome. If he doesn’t, oh well. All I did was post a score. I don’t get why everyone else is making a big mess out of it. It hasn’t even been that long.

Damn CNB. That time you spent away from here has clouded your memory. It's tGamecock board, part of tRant, and we're impatient and incessantly demanding mf'ers over here. And constantly searching for a legit conspiracy to expose.

It's our duty as good and responsible rantards.

Ring was supposed to be to the winner within 4 weeks of the game. We are now going on 12 weeks and the winner doesnt know anything. I think he owes a necklace as interest along with the ring.
IBG seems to be overly concerned and is the one keeping it in the news. Now I wonder why that is?

When we get promised something and I don’t get it sooner rather than later i get antsy.

Also, CNB, i wouldn’t say anything but there were threads made on the OT board too, asking for my prediction.
Very persistent to get my prediction but didn’t.

As I’ve said, if it comes out I’ll eat my crow

To be perfect honest IBG, the poster theusc, is technically opening himmself up to a civil lawsuit. In South Carolina a verbal contract is as good as a written one. We all entered into a " good faith verbal contract " and Theusc is technically in breach of contract.
I was hoping to see the ring because, if of high quality, I was going to at least buy 2 or more from him.

But if the verbal contract was made on this website what does that mean?
I know both posters live in SC, but does this count as Louisiana?
Or the internet is like “international waters”?

Both posters live in South Carolina, the website was just a form of communication, therefore it's technically a legal verbal contract. The agreement was we offered predictions and he offered a $2000 dollar ring to the winning score. Winner was to receive the reward within 4 weeks of the completion of the game. So technically it could be construed as a breech of contract.

Now was the competition a legal entity or was it an illegal game of chance which would void all winnings?

There's no consideration on CNB's side, which makes TheUSC's promise illusory and therefore unenforceable. No contract imo.

Actually I would argue that CNB's previous post that if" he receives the ring then awesome" is still an expectation of his winnings. He states that if not " oh well" implies that he saw the competition as a serious one but is not shocked about Theusc not following through and if he sent his personal information in order to receive the ring, which I bet he did, then thats a lock.

Consideration has to be something of value. Money is consideration. The giving up of a legal right or providing services one isn't legally responsible to do is consideration.

In this case, every person submitted a score. No one had to pay to do so. No one gave up a legal right to do so. There was no negotiated bargain. CNB hasn't lost anything by not obtaining the ring. This is a telltale sign that there is not sufficient legal consideration for an enforceable contract to exist.

You do realize that no one is being serious here right?

one of my conspiracy theories is the serial downvoting may be related to the Ring/ringmaker.

I've read Tillman's stuff so I don't think he is intelligent enough to pull that off.
