I don't know how many of yall were posters over on Cockytalk, but it appears that the site is back up. I know some gamecock fans hated that site, but it was always good to me.
I plan to continue posting both here and there. love both

I'm a long time Cockytalk member. I doubt it will ever be as successful as it was but will give it another chance because it used to have excellent recruiting info. The Secrant will still be my top choice as it's really grown on me.

I 100% agree. recruiting on cockytalk used to be the best. The rant is fun because of other fanbases. I wish our south carolina board was a little more alive, so for SC related stuff ill use cockytalk

I agree with that. Looks like the old gang is back. Spurticus welcoming everyone is cool. I used to stand with him at all the practices and he and his wife are really good people.

I used to enjoy Cockytalk. Was a member 10+ years ago (crazy to think about) before I migrated over here under a different alias. I really used to love the video section of then-contemporaneous seasons and classic highlights.
But I don't know, it soured on me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Gamecock fans being eternally optimistic no matter the circumstances but you couldn't criticize the team or coaches or the program at all on that board.

There is definitely more leeway here...by far but the problem was people like IBG would go on and on and it got old. I bitched about frank Martin on Cockytalk and never had any issues. I made one post on this site saying I was surprised a certain mayor in a certain city,well known for crime, hadn't been killed and got a 10 month ban. I didn't advocate for the individual to be hurt or anything like that.

Sure. And this is just my opinion - but someone has as much a right to be an eternal pessimist as they do an eternal optimist and it shouldn’t be a banable offense.

Like a lot of the others said, I went to Cockytalk for the recruiting information. I feel they had more information on USC recruiting than the RANT. I do appreciate this site, but I really hope the recruiting info returns there.

interesting. I feel like ive been able to post the same. I never had problem criticizing things. I do know I couldnt stand the long winded posts from a certain poster over there but that was my only issue.

no, it was spurt. his holier than thou attitude, and long winded posts were obnoxious. If you challenged his thinking he and an army of others would blast you for it.
I remember when he did his long rant about leaving cockytalk I was happy, the door couldnt hit him on the way out quick enough.
