This win doesn’t erase the absolutely retarded losses we suffered to UK and MSU…
…but it gets pretty goddamn close imo. You have to admit Beamer has some kind of freakish talent for keeping morale up in the face of adversity. In this day and age you can’t tell me 95% of coaches would have lost the ship after a 2-3 start especially how those 2 aforementioned games went. Hell most of the fan base was ready to give up.
the gamecocks did not give up though. 9-3, 8-4 is still on the table as well as beating those other orange hillbilly assholes.
I still maintain last year should have been it for him and in comes Bob Chesney and we take UCLA’s place (7-0? 8-0?) right now but I’m not in charge of the athletic department I just fix fryers and ice cream machines what do I know.
In summation I ask you this; has Beamer done enough to redeem himself IF he keeps on winning and we finish off with 8 or 9 wins or are you not so easily swayed? Let’s hear it.

yeah but these two wins also justify what fans have said. That this team was majorly underperforming.
The only reason I am happy with keeping Beamer is seeing what Briles can do in year 2.

The only thing that's going to truly "redeem" him for me is consistent success. His entire tenure here has been so Jekyll and Hyde. He'll have moments where he seems like he could be a great coach and then he'll have a moment where he's a moron.
He has to be the most frustrating coach I've ever seen. His pressers where he acts like a child don't help either.
The problem is if he does win 8 or 9 wins, his history will indicate that next year will be a losing season.

Nowhere else to put this, but we’re 7-2 vs UT in our last 9 in Columbia. Never thought I’d see the day as a young lad.
