This is the blessing and the curse of the position that Muschamp is in IMO. Because the East is so far below normalcy, it could/should be easier to get us back to being in contention. However, if the East was a lot more competitive, I think the fan base would give him the benefit of the doubt/more time to get where he's going.

The way that I look at it as 4+1.

He got in really late in the game, put together a decent recruiting class, and led us to a 6-6 season. That was great, but the real progress needs to be shown now. I am not necessarily saying we need to win 10 games, but we need to improve on the win total from 2016 and load up on the in-state football talent in 2018. That's when I think things will really begin to take off.
