Agreed I read some of it and finally just stopped. So many others from across the country did agreed with him and he still wouldn't realize he was a prick. He is a great evaluator but has absolutely zero social skills. Him asking Coach Holbrook if Brandon loses money would he pay the difference was just straight stupid.

Never heard of him.
There seems to be a lot of pricks out there these days.

Christmas-Giles is a large human being that looks like he is already about 30 years old.

Some of our best years in the program were when we had the name BRUUUUUCCCCEEEE to chant. Would definitely welcome this guy.

We need Ridley and then we need Ridley to start working on Bruce. Holy crap with the potential of those two plus Edwards?!?! Throw that in with BMac?!?! Roper could have a field day with that talent!!!

And don't forget about CJ Freeman. I am really excited about that kid. He seems to have the "it" factor as far as playing with a chip on his shoulder and taking a leadership role.

Gamecocks are looking for a second QB in this class and have reached out to 3* QB Colin Hill out of Dorman HS, a current Colorado State commit.
quote:
“They’ve been saying just that they were going to start recruiting me and Coach Roper liked me and they liked my film,” Hill said. “They said they’re going to keep building a relationship with me.”
“I actually have never met Coach Muschamp, but when we were practicing for the state game Coach Roper came and watched me practice,” Hill said. “I’ve known Coach Elliott for a while, and I know Coach Bentley really well. I’ve known him since I was little.”
“I’d think about it. If anyone did I would definitely listen and see what they had to offer, but as of now I’m solid,” he said.
“For me going to the hospital definitely put things in perspective,” he said. “It just kind of reinforced that football’s just a game and there’s a lot bigger things. What those kids go through is real. It was really cool to experience that.”

New 2016 RB Offer...wow. I didn't believe it at first,
I thought 'NO WAY could a kid like this go under the radar so long.'
Then I thought, 'someone is exaggerating his stats, those can't be legit.'
Today, SC offered a 2016 RB, unranked Rico Dowdle from AC Reynolds HS in NC. AC Reynolds was a playoff team this year, made the 2nd round (3AA, 3rd highest classification in NC, same as Concord, Southern, Hickory Ridge and Crest). I had never heard of this kid though, but to be fair he is on the opposite side of the state.
I wondered what the hell we were doing offering an unranked RB so late in the process, so I looked at his maxpreps stats.
Sr Season
6'0"
201 lbs
4.4 40 yd
3.8 shuttle
285 lbs bench
415 lbs squat
214 Carries, 2,382 rushing yards, 11.1 ypc avg, 48 rushing TD's,
90 Completions, 68.4% comp, 1,211 passing yards, 10 TD's, 4 INT's
70 Total TD's.
LINK
Then I look at his Jr and Soph seasons and there aren't really any stats of note, so I wondered if someone was embellishing the numbers.
So then I decided to look at his highlight reels below.
Rico Dowdle Sr Season Highlights - 1st 3 weeks
Rico Dowdle Sr Season - Week 7 -Western NC POTW - 232 yds rushing 6 TD's
Rico Dowdle Sr Season - Week 12 - Western NC POTW - 282 yds rushing, 6 TD's
Rico Dowdle Jr Season Highlights, wore #10, not #5.
Looks like 247 took note of this RB as well. 247 bumped him up to a 4* and the #10 RB in the class. He's lightening up the Shrine Bowl with compliments and positive feedback from the coaches/scouts there.

And we were his first SEC offer? Dream school?
I would like to land this kid for sure.

This further proves what Muschamp said -- he does not care about the rankings/star level of recruits. He is a true evaluator of talent. Our program is in good hands, gentlemen/lady.

Wowwwww...thanks for that link, rooster.
This young man is another Lattimore. NO doubt about it. He is going to do great things both AT and FOR the Gamecocks.
I can't even explain, as a mother, how impressed I am with him and his family. Just great, great people.
And
at Brandon being surprised that we're all as friendly as she is here...of course we are!! That's not just the Southern way....it's the Carolina way! We really are a family here. I think recruits see that when they're offered and we reach out en mass to them to congratulate them and encourage them to make the right choice... and of course that's the Garnet and Black choice.

3* OT Commitment Pete Leota being encouraged to look around:
3* WR Chavis Dawkins will visit Jan 15:
quote:
“They kind of encouraged me to do it,” Leota said. ”They want me to make sure I’m not missing out on any opportunities.”
3* WR Chavis Dawkins will visit Jan 15:
quote:
“They want me down there (on a visit),” Dawkins said. “I’m just going to go down there and see what they talk about.”

I wonder if having Leota look around means we have something up the sleeve or he just isn't gonna fit our new schemes.

I know of at least two kids we offered, both OLinemen, who are now being told the offer is rescinded. And another one, in the upstate, who may be about to have his offer rescinded as well. All offensive linemen.
IMHO, and I don't know this to be a fact, but IMHO it would appear that Elliott has been mandated to up his game with regard to OLine talent he is bringing-in. If true ... about time.
