I agree. We need DB's. Green and/or Smith went from being guaranteed a spot on the 2 Deep to most likely 1 of them starting. It's wide open, and this should really attract 2015 DB's too.

I like how we are recruiting the ATH position. We need more guys like Cooper to have a complete balanced offense. Hopefully Samuel and Scott(fingers crossed) can come in and continue the trend.

With FSU now going to take Ruble and 2 more OL JUCO's, Prince is looking even more realistic to the Gamecocks now, this would be a HUGE get. Prince is a 5star OT. It will be a battle w/ Maryland to get him out of MD, but we got Na'Ty last year, so there is a precedent.
Prince is coming for an OV to USC on Jan 17th, along with a bunc of other recruits like Dexter Wideman.

I have no reason to, but I feel like this weekend will herald some serious commits, among them Wideman and maybe a DB.

Dante Sawyer is still set to announce tomorrow. The time is still TBD. No word yet on if a Gamecock paysite plans to be there.

Nobody from the Big Spur will be at Sawyer's announcement tomorrow. However, Kipp Adams from 247 will be there. Kipp's last prediction for Dante has him going to USC.
Mizzou "insiders" are claiming that USC is the team to beat. Sawyer said he's still taking an OV to Mizzou even after his announcement.
I think we are looking really good here, I'm now at 80% sure that he picks USC.

Sawyer commits to the Gamecocks!! Great addition to the team and much needed depth and talent at the DE position. We are starting to stock up at the DE position in talent we have never had before. CLowney was as much of a beast as he was made out to be, but by 2015 we could have Blackshear, Key, Sawyer, Rivers, and possibly Wideman. If that happens I won't know what to think about it....

Key is still in a good position, and the coaches are very loyal to him, but if he starts wavering, excpect us to go after Clelin Ferrell. His offers and rankings keep going up. I saw some highlights, he's quick, every bit of 6'5" like he claims and has the frame & athleticism to be a Top Tier SEC DE. Ferrell was really "feeling" us, but then we got Blackshear and Key so quick, that he paused. We're still in his Top 3.
