What a win for this young squad, maybe this is the confidence boost/performance they need to get this team going.

Another solid performance, Carrera was an absolute beast looked like he did last year. Notice had a nice game as well.

The guys played really well in the second half. Glad to see us get the victory, and hope we can make it a clean sweep on Saturday over the Zips.

Yeah after the way this team played last week finishing 3rd isn't bad. How many teams were there? 8? Unfortunately that St. Mary's win doesn't seem so impressive considering they went 0-3 in the tournament, but hey beggars can't be choosers right?

Bout to head out to the CLA to watch the Men for the first time I think since the Dave Odom era.
Williams, Thornwell, Notice, Henry, & Kacinas are starting 5.

Good start to 2nd half, 13-1 run.

Team looked great today. Still some hiccups on easy layups that shouldn't happen but the shooting overall was much improved and the defensive was fantastic

Brenton Williams was on fire tonight, dude just couldnt miss from 3. Our offense barely had any turnovers as well. Dominated inside with Carrera & Henry.

It was definitely an encouraging game. We hadn't had issues working the ball down low but today we finished the opportunities we had and even started making extra passes down there to get better looks.
If Henry can add some lbs he'll be a monster. Like the play down low from the Lithuanians today too

The missed layups were my favorite part of the win today. The fact that we were getting in position to make those shots was a big step forward.
Making them is the next step. Those high percentage shots are going to fall more often than not, but being able get there is paramount to this offense.

Game versus Marshall (5-7) tonight in CLA tips off in an hour. The Thundering Herd have lost 5 of their last 6 games: Elijah Pittman, Marshall's top player and leading scorer has been suspended for a number of games recently - which may help explain the Herd's recent losing streak. He's expected to also miss tonight's game. There was some question this week if his suspension would be lifted to allow him to play tonight....

Hopefully not. Would like to see us play the way we did against Akron

Gamecocks pull away in 2nd half to win 92-65 over Marshall. USC looked a bit sluggish which may have been due to all the games they've played in recent days and travel fatigue from flying from the Pacific to Atlantic and back again for the Hawaii tournament. They stifled Marshall in the 2nd half though and their defense looked strong still.
They play SC St. next on Friday to wrap up the non-conference portion of the schedule. Would be great to win that one and head into the SEC slate at 7-6....

Just finished the game and we looked good. Lot of fouls but didn't really matter.
Williams again had a great game and looks to be the key player for us (at least on offense) heading into the conference schedule

Post Game Conference with CFM: Post Game
This team since going to Hawaii has looked completely different, seems that they're gelling well together & buying into Franks system. Good to see us once again dominate in the 2nd half of a ball game.
