They are pretending to have a season but with their stance on shutting down if Covid exceeds 5% for the football team and 7.5% for the general population, it is going to be impossible to meet. That way when they actually do cancel the season they will defend themselves and say they tried.

Don't underestimate the ability of the Michigan governor to derail those two schools. She can refuse to allow games to be played in her state if she decides to be obstinate.

Think about this: assume a football team has 90 players. This means that if any more than 4 players test positive for Covid, the team can’t play. This is absurd.

Schissel is up to his arse in potential litiGators. Expect him to stay in the basement with Warren and Biden.

If the whole reason for playing again was the availability of rapid testing then why do they need to shut down a team over 4 or 5 cases?

Yeah - I saw that too. A 5% positivity rate shuts a team down for seven days. Any player that test positive can't play in a game for twenty-one days - unless the test falls perfectly, that'll be four games.

They won't complete the season. Their protocol ensures it. This is all a CYA thing by the Presidents to say "We tried" and shut up the coaches, players, and parents.

A positive test results in holding out of competition for 21 days is absolutely insane to me.

Whats the point in daily testing if you test negative multiple times after a positive test say a week later...you're fine at that point. You should be good to go. Why does a positive test matter but a negative test after a positive one doesnt for 3 weeks?

The point is being seen as doing "something" - even if it's doomed to failure. The point is deflecting some of the heat, for now. The presidents have no intention of completing a season. I doubt they have a single team play all eight games.

Coaches better hope they dont have independent testing because I cant see OSU holding out Justin Fields for 3 games due to a positive test. If it's all internal nobody will report shite to the Big Ten.

No kidding. All seems like it's set up to fail, don't it ?

You raised some great points. Nice chatting.

Meh - you're right. He just wouldn't get the full week of practice the following week, depending on when he popped - it is three games. My mistake.

As long as Stretchin Gretchen is continuously given a dose of giant cock in her a-hole, she'll stay away.
