USC is ranked below both our former DC at Duke and , well, Marshall. With a total of 7 commits. Riley must be sleeping well. Prolly shoulda leveraged the offer and ridden out a few more Big
(howevermany) years before bailing out.

I think they'll be fine in the long run, with 3 5 star guys already in next year's class, but yea 2022 looks rough.
Funny that USC can have just 7 commits and still have a class good enough for 9th in the Pac 12. Lots of awful programs out west.

2023 5* Commits mean very little this far out. So much can change in a year for the player and the teams. It's nice but acting like those guys are all locked up is delusional. Still it's nice to have them.
Also, ratings this far out are going to change a lot. Kids from big name HS's have a big edge because a lot of the best talents haven't even gone to a camp yet and the college coaches have been focused on '22.

Disagree. Players are committing earlier and earlier, so you better get them before someone else does. And not, they aren't locked up yet, but I think most, if not all, end up signing with USC.

Sure things can change, but take a look at our class this year for reference. Of the 8 top 50 guys we have in the 2022 class, 6 were in the top 50 12 months earlier.
Only Weigman (#93) and Lucas (#164) weren't considered "elite" at this time last year.
