I know LSU graduates suck at math, but five points is nothing to brag about. Especially in a "beat the dog shite" manner

The best ever would never give up 38pts to Vanderbilt and have 3 one possession games against 2 mediocre teams, and a Bama team that was a mash unit.

LSU didn't dominate Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, or Texas.

Just not dominant enough to be considered the best ever.

LSU finished strong, but was awful defensively 80% of the year

This.

LSU might have gone undefeated against the toughest season in the history of college football, but that doesn't necessarily make them the greatest or the most dominant team of all-time.

2009 Alabama played one of the toughest schedules in the history of college football up to that time and went undefeated doing it. No one, not even the most die hard of Alabama fans, dared called them one of the greatest teams in college football history. We struggled against some pretty average teams, almost losing to two of them, before blowing out #1 Florida and beating #2 Texas by three scores in back-to-back games.

Remember LSU calling off the dogs against Clemson in the entire 4th quarter trying to run the clock out, what about kneeling down on the 1yard line ??

LSU could’ve scored 70 in that game had they wanted too & 100 on Oklahoma !!

Alabama played player depleted teams in the 2020 season, LSU didn’t in 2019 !!

Alabama played Arkansas, Mississippi St., Ole Miss & Missouri. All had new coaching staffs from the head coach down. Yet none of those teams had any spring or early fall preseason practice time before the season started to amount to anything because of the covid outbreak restrictions. LSU & g
Georgia had a new coordinator on one side of the ball who changed systems from what they were using the season before. Yet again, both teams had basically zero spring or early fall preseason practice time. Alabama played Auburn & Tennessee, 2 teams that fired their coaching staffs at the end of the 2020 season. Florida played Alabama shorthanded, Ohio st. almost canceled playing the CFP championship game because of being player depleted as well !!
