First College football game broadcast by ESPN:
#20 LSU - #1 USC
Sept.29 1979
LINK
The white banners on the fence are ESPN signs.
There were three broadcast teams, USC, LSU and ESPN all had one.
The copy of the LSU broadcast team is the hardest to get a copy of today.
I was there with my brother in law, he wore USC colors by mistake, the crowd stood the whole game and cheered. The fans stayed after the game and were still cheering until Mac brought the team out of one more time, long after the game.

. People go off on ESPN not because of the sporting events, but because they feel the need to fill every moment that isn’t sports with commentary. Much of it awful quasi political commentary.
I’d rather watch old NFL films than people yelling at each othe
True, I don't watch any of those shows, only the events.
