This sucks. Literally had a discussion with a SW Macon grad about him 2 days ago. I was a teenager when he played and remember that team well. 59 is still too damn young!

I remember him well. That final four year was remarkable. I believe they beat Syracuse in the tournament that year. UNC was another team they beat in the tournament.
In the semi-final against NC State, Georgia went cold and could not throw it in the ocean for a long stretch, but still played them a close game.
The Houston team that lost to Valvano and NC State was spectacular. That was the crew known as "Phi Slamma Jamma."
