Basketball Stats Write-Up

I update the stats in the basketball thread every game, but this is a good way of showing y’all the trends in our team. I will try and post one every 3 or four games.


This all based off advanced and regular stats.

Here we go


Team Positives
- The turnover rate is dropping. 10 games ago we were at 18 per game. It is now at 14.5.
- Our Free Throws have improved a ton. Six games ago, it was at 60%. Now, it is at 67%. Still needs improvement no doubt.
- We have the 3rd toughest SOS in the SEC

Team Negatives
-FG Percentage is dropping like a rock. We were 1st in the SEC at .491, but is now dropped down to .457, which is 4th in the SEC
- PPG allowed continues to rise. At 75.1, we are only 2nd to Alabama

Individual Positives
-Edwards has been elite from the FT line recently. He is shooting 89% from the line the last 3 games.
-Hammonds has been excellent from 3 Point land recently. He is shooting .500 from behind the arc the last 4 games
-Tye Fagan went 6/6 for 14 points last night

Other notes
- We are 2nd in Pace in the SEC, for better or worse
- We have completed a 5-game gauntlet to start SEC schedule. Expect 3 wins in a row, but who knows?
