Dinardeaux as people around Louisiana spelled his last name when he was winning LOL I will say Dinardo did make inroads for LSU into New Orleans after New Orleans was basically a no fly zone for LSU football recruiting beforehand.

Why was New Orleans a no fly zone for LSU before?

LSU and Baton Rouge in an overall sense had a racist reputation in New Orleans that ended under Dinardo. New Orleans is really a Latin, Black Caribbean city culturally while the rest of Louisiana is more Anglo influenced in a sense. Schools like Notre Dame, Nebraska, Miami, FSU, and Michigan capitalized on this and had success getting the best players from New Orleans. Also, depending on who you talk to Curly Hallman mis-evaluated what would become legendary talents like Ed Reed and Marshall Faulk.

Main reason is LSU sucked and the blue bloods took who they wanted.
