deeprig -

It's mostly for the aquarium but we're going to do some other things as well. I know he won't last a full braves game and that's ok as it will be fun to just watch his eyes light up and take it all in.

The other option was disney and I didn't think that was a good idea at his age and this time of year.

Disney aint a good option at any age or time of year...happiest place on earth my arse....Ive never seen more kids squalling and families scrambling desperately for a way to spend more money and have fun anyplace on earth....seriously....does anyone really like Disney????? I didn't like it as a kid and can't stand it as an adult....and all you gotta do is listen to the kids crying their asses off tells the tale about what kids think of the place....after the initial 3 hours most kids look and act more miserable than those kids in detainment at the border....

I appreciate the input

FWIW - we stayed at the Whitley Hotel in Buckhead which was great and from a travel perspective was very convenient. Friday we went to the zoo, Saturday the aquarium and Sunday a braves game. Suntrust park is awesome and I think it may have been the most fun my son had. We stayed 7 innnings and could have stayed the entire game but decided we wanted to be ahead of traffic.

Again, thanks for all your help.

We did a staycation and staid at the Marriott Marquis downtown. It was really fun. We got a room with a view for a good price. Looking at the rates; they look really low this time of year. You can walk to the aquarium and Centennial park. We go downtown all the time and if you stay away from the 5 points area it seems pretty safe. If you want to avoid walking at night; Uber is really easy downtown.

O Lord, I'll never forget that. His teammates got him a warm-up jacket with I-285 printed on the back of it as a joke...and Perez wore it.

I went there (Disney) on my honeymoon...November, 1990. It was tolerable at that time of the year, but I haven't been back since. My kids didn't even want to go as they were growing up. They always wanted to go to Six Flags.
