Avery needs to go, I’ve been saying this for the past month. It has nothing to fricking do with Auburn. The man makes too damn much money, he’s been here 4 yrs and mediocrity is unacceptable, he won’t get fired because the buyout is too high, but he needs to go. Auburn people should understand this better than anyone, stuck with an over priced mediocre coach.

Auburn puppet congrats for having Bruce as your coach but if it were Avery (1 NCAA in 4 years) you want him GONE too.

Im just messing with you baw i hapened to run across that post of yours the other day while on the AU board we were laughing at an old Avery vs Bruce thread
But you're spot on right here:
Right? Most non-AU fans will never realize how truly big of a miracle it was to turn AU around from what he inherited. Most AU fans probably don't truly comprehend it because tbh there wasn't a lot of us diehard basketball fans left by the end if the Lebo and Barbee years, most jumped on the bandwagon when Bruce was hired, or even worse in the last two years.
Bruce might as well have inherited just KT Harrell. He was All-SEC caliber, but outside of him there was one other guy who was worthy of coming off the bench in the SEC, and the rest of the players left over from Barbee honestly didn't even deserve a scholarship to any D1 school IMO.
Pearl had to scramble to find JUCO guys and grad transfers to even have enough players to field a team. And it was all the more impressive that he was able to do it considering Bruce was still under show cause and couldn't even talk to that first group of signees until they actually sent in their LOI.
To go from that, to a top 25 program and 2x SEC CHAMPS is working a miracle.
Feels good mane... Feels good
But you're spot on right here:

Pearl has done more at Auburn so far than I would have predicted. I thought he'd have them competitive and in the NCAAT more so than not, but I didn't think he'd have them at championship level (in a very good SEC). Dude is great. What's he done is unbelievable

Seriously - y'all that kept with Auburn basketball post-Cliff Ellis era deserve this. You endured some dreadful basketball with no real positive end in sight.
Congrats

I don't think it's just Auburn. UT is also having a lot of success. Hell both Mississippi schools made the tournament.
With as weak as the bubble was, there's no excuse to not make the tournament in a year like this at Alabama this far into the coach's stint.
