Should UF have a solid New Years bowl win, I have to think that there is a very good chance the pollsters will easily put the Gators in the Top 10 for the 2019 preseason. Top 5 might not be attainable at this point with the crowded field above us. But maybe even as high as 6 (behind Bama, Clemson, UGA, Big 10 front runner & Big 12 front runner). Mullen is motivating this team, building confidence and scoring points! It's remarkable!

An opening season win over Miami would definitely put us in the Top 5 in Week 2. Gotta believe Dan can do it!

I really don't care that much about rankings. They tend to figure themselves out as the season goes on anyway.

The media has ignored us big time over the past five years and the only reports are usually negative ones. They NOW are forced to recognize us. Its always better to start the season ranked as high as possible, it builds cred and if you lose a game...you still are ranked and easier to climb back up. The pollsters get used to seeing the schools name in the news and we do play in a conference that is king of the hill.
